Army Retribution Alliance Forms

The Elite Guardians of Club Penguin have recently spearheaded the formation of a new alliance composed of several prominent Small/Medium armies. The coalition aims to foster unity, strengthen ties within the Small/Medium community, and promote cooperation through shared events and mutual support.

On July 5, 2025, a new alliance was officially announced between several small and medium-sized armies: Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, Special Weapons and Tactics, Penguins of Agartha, Fire Vikings, Shadow Legionnaires, and The Bastille Vanguard. According to EGCP leader Lana, the initial discussions began with a core group consisting of PoA, SWAT, and TBV. They gradually expanded to include SL and FV as talks progressed. The alliance reflects an increasingly collaborative atmosphere between S/M armies, despite the harsh community landscape.

The alliance brings together traditional and up-and-coming forces under a common banner, with TBV providing structure, EGCP and SWAT providing competitive pedigree, and PoA, Fire Vikings, and Shadow Legionnaires providing momentum and scale. Collectively, these forces may be able to effect change in S/M events and take on larger armies.

The Bastille Vanguard

On November 2, 2024, Vitorwin, Aucracia, and Seila founded The Bastille Vanguard. The nature of the existence of this army lies within the closure of the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin. Many members of the Elite Guardians sought refuge in TBV, following the closure of EGCP. The leadership of this army is mainly composed of EGCP moderators who, after Fitsuki was couped, opted to form TBV.

On June 11, 2025, TBV entered a hiatus only a couple of months after entering the Club Penguin Army Community. Notably, they fought against the Army of Club Penguin and, at one point, allied with the Doritos and Templars. TBV has also participated in many tournaments: March Madness X, Around the World Cup II, and Candy Crusher Brawl

Special Weapons and Tactics

SWAT has kept busy since spring 2025 with March Madness training events, in particular the EU and AUSIA divisions, with troops showing up regularly. They also launched a major strategic alliance with Fire Vikings on May 1, coming together as two similarly sized S/M armies to increase their competitive presence while maximizing leadership resources, a move branded as converging emerging armies to combat a bigger threat. SWAT continues to have game nights on alternative platforms to keep play and community in good spirits.

Penguins of Agartha

Established on March 22, 2025, by Berlim, PoA very quickly became a presence by beginning with 12 penguins and freshly defeating  Crimson Sovereign 2–0–0 just two weeks later. While they were later defeated themselves 4–0–0 by Void Troops just after that on May 11, PoA is one of the most stable and great-looking newcomers on the scene because of their frequency in Top Tens every week, along with their S/M division progress momentum.

Fire Vikings

The Fire Vikings were reborn in November 2024 as Yellow Typer, starting with an 11-penguin attendance in their first event. They briefly merged with the Dark Pirates, and they went on lockdown before finally emerging from lockdown in early 2024, and most notably during a gameplay warmup for Around the World Cup II Qualifiers. Their match against the Penguins of Agartha and Valiant Azure Knights was a showcase event with a lot of analysts anticipating an FV victory after their strong attendance levels and cooperative tactic execution. With their alliance with SWAT, this clearly shows their knowledge of rehabilitation via support and cooperation through common allies for the development of competitiveness.

Elite Guardians of Club Penguin

Since their revival, EGCP has become a fixture in the Top Ten, and they have built a reputation as a rivalry-based organisation. EGCP has participated in recent group wars, alliance swaps, and tournaments as a technically robust and ideologically fluid powerhouse.

Shadow Legionnaires

Recently confirmed as #10 in the monthly Top Ten, Shadow Legionnaires are hitting their stride and increasing both size and profile. The speed of their climb reveals that they are succeeding in recruitment, hosting events consistently, and are becoming more accepting of participating in S/M battles, all evidence of their increased ambition.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to some of the alliance leaders for an interview:

What led to the formation of the Retribution Alliance?

Lana, Elite Guardians Leader: We wanted to support one another within the community
Berlim, Penguins of Agartha Leader: Colaboration between some s/m armies, just lika IUA.
WilliamW2010, SWAT Leader: Originally ’twas exactly what it says on the tin. Not gonna explain exactly how but that’s the gist of it
Thunder222, Shadow Legionnaires Leader: support each other within the community
Yellow Typer, Fire Vikings Leader: Well we all are s/m armies and we will that we can help each other grow just from that alliance + the allies we have

How were the member armies selected? Was there a unifying ideology or goal?

Lana, Elite Guardians Leader: Some of the leaders were enlisted at EGCP, while others are mutual friends. We decided to support one another in events, practical battles, and beyond, leaving the past behind.
Berlim, Penguins of Agartha Leader: No, we just went to some s/m and choosen some that we think were good. we have a lot of s/m’s cause of that.
WilliamW2010, SWAT Leader: IIRC really the only requirement was being S/M.
Thunder222, Shadow Legionnaires Leader: a lot of the armies like TBV, SL and POA have assosiated with EGCP back in the 2nd generation, including I and i think of it as a good time to bond since SM seems to be pretty dead
Yellow Typer, Fire Vikings Leader: I wouldn’t say through a goal because we were just asked to join lol

What strengths does your army bring to the alliance?

Lana, Elite Guardians Leader: We do everything to honor our allies.
Berlim, Penguins of Agartha Leader: More maxes, and a more united s/m community.
WilliamW2010, SWAT Leader: More penguins and sheer stubborness.
Thunder222, Shadow Legionnaires Leader: doing right to help out allies as possible if can
Yellow Typer, Fire Vikings Leader: With all of our little strengths combined, we bring huge strength to not just the alliance but to the community!

In your opinion, what makes the Retribution Alliance different from other recent alliances?

Lana, Elite Guardians Leader: Our alliance is built on friendship, not just mutual interest
Berlim, Penguins of Agartha Leader: Because it only has s/m armies.
WilliamW2010, SWAT Leader: Unifying the armies that actually need it. S/M.
Thunder222, Shadow Legionnaires Leader: building a strong alliance together
Yellow Typer, Fire Vikings Leader: Cool name, cool people, cool armies, umm we’re all s/m and yea.,

If you had to summarize the alliance’s mission in one sentence, what would it be?

Lana, Elite Guardians Leader: Unity among people is the force that transforms the community, making it stronger and more resilient
Berlim, Penguins of Agartha Leader: I don’t know tbh.
WilliamW2010, SWAT Leader: We shall dance on the bones of armies who think they can just squash S/M armies like ants.
Thunder222, Shadow Legionnaires Leader: transforming the community, unite in the force and making it stronger
Yellow Typer, Fire Vikings Leader: Take our land back!

Whether or not the Retribution Alliance will be a significant force for the foreseeable future or simply a momentary blip in the Club Penguin Army timeline is yet to be determined, but it has certainly sparked the interest of the community. Only time will tell if this coalition can keep the momentum going, complete its mission, and make an impact beyond just another alliance post. Will the Retribution Alliance last, or will it succumb to oblivion along with many others before it?
