Club Penguin Armies As NBA Players

Basketball is not just a game. It is an art of work, creating powerful dynasties, meltdowns and strong comebacks that belong to icebergs as much as hardwood courts. But what if, hypothetically, Club Penguin Armies had possessed the spirits of NBA legends and star players? In this editorial, we look into armies that have a similar identity to basketball superstars and legends that have left a lasting impression on the community.

REBEL PENGUIN FEDERATION – MICHAEL JORDAN

The Rebel Penguin Federation is one of the most dominant and iconic armies the community has ever seen. In the same way, they can be compared to the undisputed GOAT of the NBA, Michael Jordan — who was known for his athletic dominance, trash talk, cigar smoking, and drinking, all while still showcasing his superiority on the court. With six rings, 14 All-Star selections, five Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, and an average of 30.1 points per game, it’s no surprise they are one of the most indispensable players the league has ever seen.

DORITOS OF CLUB PENGUIN – BEN SIMMONS

One of the fastest rising players in the NBA, Ben Simmons was primarily known for his elite defense and playmaking, making it to the All-Star team in 2019 and 2020. His downfall would be very sudden, facing mass controversy and struggling to maintain his statistics in important matches. He often skipped training, did not bother to improve his weaknesses, and cited fake injuries. His identity can be similar to the Doritos of Club Penguin, who have been in a quagmire of controversy and incompetent leadership, consistently failing to outrank Small/Medium armies in the Top Tens.

NACHOS [ DEFUNCT ] – bill RusseLL

The Nachos are one of the most classic and tournament-winning armies in the history of Club Penguin Armies. The army has won almost every first iteration of all major tournaments (except for the Legends Cup) and has won a total of eight tournaments overall. Bill Russell, the GOAT of the old NBA, perfectly compares to them. He stayed with a single team throughout his entire career, won 11 rings, and was a five-time MVP. He completely shaped the style of defense and shot blocking and was known for being a competent team-based player. Many of his tactics are still seen in modern gameplay.

ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN – LEBRON JAMES

LeBron James, an NBA superstar, has been an absolute living beast and gigachad in the league for the past 23 years. He widely shows his versatility, longevity in the league, and wins NBA titles with distinct teams. His most historic moment was leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory against the GSW in the 2016 championship, the first-ever championship the Cavaliers had won. He is one of the most exceptional and brilliant players the NBA has ever had. His capabilities align well with the Army of Club Penguin, who have thrived for almost 20 years continuously despite some shakedowns and downfalls.

HELP FORCE – JAMES HARDEN

Nicknamed “The Beard,” James Harden is one of the most talented and creative players the NBA has ever seen, notably for revolutionizing three-point shooting and his classic step-back three. Despite his 2018 MVP induction and being an 11-time All-Star, his style of play has never won a championship. James reached the 2018 Finals against the Golden State Warriors and again in 2019, in which the Houston Rockets ultimately lost. The Help Force share a somewhat similar persona with Harden, where their style of play hasn’t won them championships despite their win in the 2024 Legends Cup.

ALIENS OF CLUB PENGUIN – Kawhi Leonard

Once frequently remarked, the Aliens are one of the most fierce but neutral forces to ever occur in CPA. Winning their first tournament this year, they are ready to prepare for the future major tournaments which will collectively decide their fate and influence on the community. Similarly, Kawhi Leonard perfectly matches with the Aliens as he came back with a strong return in the 2024-25 season, dominating both offense and defense while silently being away from the spotlight and avoiding drama issues.

TEMPLARS – KYRIE IRVING

Kyrie Irving is one of the few players in the world to master the rare art of elite ball handling. His style blends tactical brilliance with moments of struggle, reaching the 2016 Finals with the Cavaliers and ultimately winning. The downfall of his career came during an uncertain period, marked by injuries and struggles to build chemistry with prominent teammates. In 2023, his rise began again as he showcased flashy moves, revolutionized ball handling, and built better chemistry with notable players. We can compare him to the Templars, who were often classified as a S/M army and later rose to prosperity, establishing themselves as strong contenders in the community.

WATER VIKINGS – STEPHEN CURRY

Almost universally recognized as the GOAT of 3-point shooting, Stephen Curry is a true pioneer of the long-range game, known for his unorthodox and creative shooting style that made him a shooting genius. Curry has maintained unwavering loyalty to the Golden State Warriors, spending his entire career with a single team. His teamwork, chemistry, and shooting dynamics have undoubtedly shaped the current landscape of the NBA. Furthermore, his personality can be compared to the Water Vikings, who, similarly, are widely reckoned as a force to be reckoned with. They have consistently shown great performance in recent events and, consequently, are expected to showcase dominance on the virtual battlefield.

Club Penguin Armies as NBA players is a creative comparison with many armies having similar existing situations and sometimes being uneventful or well worse just like some NBA teams Who do you think would fit as which army? Did you enjoy reading the post?
