Rise of the legends
An exciting tale blossomed with the Legends Cup back in July 2010, when Army of Club Penguin creator and Army Legend Oagalthorp dropped the mega-suggestion bomb, suggesting a tournament that would unite every army across Club Penguin and challenge them in all-out warfare for glory.
Club Penguin Army Central was approached for this idea on behalf of the Army of Club Penguin, and the administration at CPAC wasted very little time organizing the event. The first Legends Cup was incredibly successful, which resulted in CPAC organizing another eight installments until Club Penguin shut down in 2017.

Modern-Day Legends
With the closure of Club Penguin in 2017, private servers became mainstream, with Club Penguin Online being the first one to offer the huge armies the chance to participate in Legends Cup IX.
In 2019, the drama arose when armies left the League to join Club Penguin Armies, a new organization formed that year. There was no Legends Cup due to the drama and transition across the wider penguin warfare landscape that year.
By 2020, many members of the community became aligned with a singular league with the emergence of Club Penguin Army Hub and the already existing Club Penguin Armies, and the iconic tournament returned once again. Even following the closure of Club Penguin, Legends Cup continued to be a prevalent and dominant force within the community.

Legends Cup V Final: Help Force vs. Rebel Penguin Federation
This year, CPA will host Legends Cup XV, marking 15 years since the beginning of this iconic tournament. Last year, the Help Force triumphed against the Rebel Penguin Federation following a tense battle. Will the Helpers be able to take home the trophy for the second year in a row? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain: the armies will surely be planning for victory.
To find out how the armies are preparing for the tournament, Club Penguin Armies reached out to each army’s leaders for an exclusive interview.
How is your army preparing for Legends Cup XV?
Jo, Help Force: We’re focusing on recruiting and battle training. For the past few months, we have focused on CPJ, and now it’s time for us to train all of our recruits. We’ve been doing a lot of practice battles to prepare troops for battle and to also train our staff to lead battles. This week, we have a three way battle lined up and we plan to continue doing trainings and practice battles
Daniel, Army of Club Penguin: We are working first of all on the basics – growing our member base, though slowly but surely, and getting them accustomed to ACP and who we are. Recently, we’ve had to do a lot of restructuring to ACP, but we won’t let that drag us back in terms of preparing for the most important tournament of the year. We want to reopen ACPTR soon, that way our troops are properly prepared for Legends Cup – I don’t want to reveal too much either but we do have exciting plans coming up very soon!
BP, Aliens of Club Penguin: Aliens are really excited for Legends Cup XV, It’s our first time participating in legends cup, we really hope to do our best. We are preparing by hosting lots of battles with other armies and by recruiting ofc. We cannot wait to have fun in the tournament. For now all i can say is that Aliens are preparing well, whoever we face, we will give them a good fight 🔥
Escot, Water Vikings: We’re training the army strategically at events on forms, tactics, and such, we’re testing with things behind the scenes and recruiting. Our plan is set in motion
Ayeeti, Doritos of Club Penguin: We are preparing for Legends Cup XV by holding more events and hyping up our troops
Ugly, Void Troops: VT is doing a lot of training and battle events against strong armies, as well as recruiting and mentoring a bunch. We have set our eyes on LC ever since our rebuilding phase and we hope to keep up that momentum to the tournament.
Echo, Templars: We are ramping up recruitment, putting our troops through trainings, and enhancing our HCOMs ability to guide our newer troops. All in all just putting in the usual CPA efforts but tenfold
From the interview above, we can see that the armies are giving their all to lift this trophy above their heads! The armies are preparing intensely both by recruiting and by generating enthusiasm among the troops. Who will win the Legends Cup this year? What would you do if you were leading?
