OVERVIEW
As both armies were preparing for the Around The World Cup tournament, this practice battle was an opportunity for them to improve battle-wise, with the Doritos of Club Penguin having their first battle on May 27 and the Water Vikings first battling on May 28. With the two armies being in different groups in the tournament and both armies having the major army status, this makes it a great way to prepare for the tourney.
ROOM 1 – COVE
The room began with DCP entering first. WV then moved into a V form, and DCP mirrors that. Sizes at this time are 20-18 in favor of the Vikings. WV is able to cover more efficiently within this form, shadowing the Doritos. DCP then rakes early and moves into a UV form. Afterwards, WV bombs and then form a UT. In their forms, WV struggles with bunching while DCP’s form suffers with out-of-form troops. Both armies then bomb again and move into a plus to close off the room. This room was declared a tie due to both armies having moments of dominance and covering with speed.

ROOM 2 – SNOW FORTS
The second room began with both armies entering quickly. WV forms a BL while DCP forms an arrow. WV now has a size advantage of about 8 troops, with sizes being 22-14. DCP then bombs, but WV has a strong defense against this movement and is able to cover effectively. WV then bombs as well. DCP forms a UT while WV makes a UV. WV loses some of its size advantage, but DCP slows down tactically. Towards the end of the room, WV waterfalls while DCP bombs. The room ends with DCP in an X and WV in a UT. Due to having a greater speed and size, WV wins this room.

ROOM 3 – STADIUM
The final room begins with WV entering first. Both armies form a UY whilst also being fast tactically. DCP then rakes, but WV has once again a strong defense and bombs afterwards. DCP then moves into an L form. WV then makes a plus form, which highlights their size, while DCP’s form suffers from AFKs. WV rake and DCP follow waterfalling the room. The armies close off the room with WV in an X form while DCP in a UY form. Due to being the faster army, WV wins this room and the battle.

Judges’ ruling on the battle
After the battle, the judges declared Water Vikings to be the winner of the battle, with two rooms being a victory for WV and one being a tie. Despite this, the Doritos fought pretty well. Do you think the battle would end differently if there were fewer afks?
