Mare’s journey in the community began in April 2020, when she enlisted in Special Weapons and Tactics as a staff member. However, some time before the army merged with Doritos, Mare left SWAT to help co-found the One Direction Army. After a brief leadership period with colleagues such as Aubz and Izzy, Mare returned to SWAT a month later when it made its comeback.

Because the work of a leader requires much attention, Mare decided to retire from ODA to focus on her duties in SWAT. Her leadership featured several memorable moments such as the Eagre Foray war against the Water Vikings. Mare remained a prominent figure for the Agents, leading battles and hyping her troops for encounters with their opponents.

In December 2021, Mare was officially inducted as a Small/Medium Army Legend. The title recognized her leadership in SWAT and  creation of the Dua Inn Lipa Fighters, a prominent force in the S/M community. She carried on as leader until early 2022, when she resigned from her position. Nonetheless, she still had a few separate roles in the community to commit to.

Additionally, in 2023, Mare took on the role of Head Judge for the Club Penguin Army Judges, marking a major milestone in her career. Her contributions to the judging community soon became a defining part of her legacy, as she has been part of it since 2020. Her work as a Head Judge only cemented her legacy as one of the most committed judges the community ever had. As she was promoted to Chief Executive Producer, Mare announced her retirement from the position.

Mare’s career in Club Penguin Armies dates back to July 2022, when she first applied for Moderator, and Reporter positions. Throughout time, Mare also partook in many other departments, such as the Community Committee and YouTube. Nevertheless, she would shortly leave the reporting department, only making a return in 2024, but now as an Associate Editor. She swiftly rose through the ranks, earning positions as Head Moderator in August 2023 and, later in June 2024, Editor-in-Chief. However, it was not until Mchappy retired from the Administration in August 2024 that Mare was chosen to step into his role.

During her time as CEP, Mare hosted several tournaments, including Beach Brawl IV, Christmas Chaos XIVMarch Madness X, and introduced innovative concepts, as seen during Project Conquest: Blood Bowl, and Candy Crusher Brawl. In addition, she successfully helped host two special events in CPA: the End of Summer Gala and Winter Wonderland. She also dedicated her time to helping departments, such as the Community Committee, creating the festive Town Halls, and promoting engagement and activity within the community, and introduced the Territory Tiers and Wilderness Zones concepts to the server map.

The End of an Era

On April 21, Mare officially announced her retirement from the Administration. This was sad news to many who had long admired her leadership and dedication. In her resignation letter, Mare expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her, acknowledging the challenges and anxieties she faced early on. Additionally, she shared her growth into her leadership style over time, emphasizing that while she could not please everyone, her main goal was always the well-being of the community.

Mare’s journey in the community has been long and successful, leaving a lasting impact on many. Though her departure is saddening, we are grateful for her contributions and wish her the best in her future endeavors. What does the future hold for the CPA community? Will she stay active in the community?
