An Unprecedented Week: PIC Announce Closure Amidst A Series of Events

The People’s Imperial Confederation has just faced one of the most chaotic weeks in its history. In a span of days, Scars retired, 54x was controversially promoted, ACP ended their alliance with PIC, and Sidie9 declared the end of the army’s fourth generation. These events, each significant on their own, together mark the collapse of an entire era.

Part I: Scars Bids Farewell to PIC

On April 19, 2025, Scars officially announced his retirement from the People’s Imperial Confederation in a heartfelt resignation message. Reflecting on his five-and-a-half-month leadership tenure, he expressed pride in his achievements — most notably leading PIC through multiple tournaments and wars, reaching a max of 32, and earning his place in the Hall of Fame as a PIC Legend.

After taking over during PIC’s decline, Scars revitalized the army, boosting its Top Ten consistency. In his farewell, he thanked his comrades and ended on a passionate, if controversial, note toward longtime rivals.

Part II: 54x’s Return Sparks Outrage

Mere hours after Scars’ departure, a surprising announcement came from former leader 54x. In a public statement, he declared his return to PIC and his reinstatement as Commander-in-Chief. Claiming a period of self-reflection and atonement, 54x promised to rebuild PIC alongside Alucard and Villa, proclaiming a comeback for the “PIC Gods.”

However, his reappearance immediately reignited community-wide backlash. Earlier this year, Club Penguin Armies and CPA: Battleground banned 54x after controversial and concerning claims surrounding him came to the surface. This led to his removal from the community.

Nonetheless, 54x’s promotion went uncontested for only a brief moment. Eventually, Sidie9 stepped in to reverse the decision, but by then, the damage had already been done.

Part III: ACP Breaks Alliance With PIC

One of the first external consequences of 54x’s return came from PIC’s longtime ally, the Army of Club Penguin. On April 20, ACP officially cut ties with PIC, citing their disapproval of 54x’s reinstatement. Meanwhile, the alliance, which had been in place since January 18th, 2023, was quietly removed from the Nations page.

ACP leader Roxy confirmed the news in a statement, noting that the army would remain neutral toward PIC moving forward. Moreover, the announcement marked yet another blow to PIC’s already fragile foundation, signaling a loss of trust even among its closest allies.

Part IV: Sidie9 Ends the Fourth Generation

In a final statement posted to the PIC website on April 21st, Sidie9 — PIC’s founder and longtime figurehead — declared the indefinite suspension of PIC’s fourth generation. Citing recent controversies and the army’s “irreparable” situation, she decided to bring this chapter to a close.

Sidie acknowledged the contributions of Scars and past leaders. She expressed hope the community would remember this generation for its resilience, not its end. However, while she did not entirely shut the door on a future revival, the future of PIC remains uncertain.

Club Penguin Armies conducted an exclusive interview with some community members, Dino, T_T, Riri, and lastly, Billy Bob, to learn their thoughts about the series of events that unfolded recently.

What was your initial reaction to the chain of events that unfolded within PIC this weekend?

Dino: I was quite shocked to see Scars abruptly resign since there didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason, although I was informed of his frustration in his own personal army server. While I have my own personal thoughts on Scars and PIC as of lately, PIC has stayed admittedly relevant and thus I was actually quite confused on the path forward. The reinstatement of the leader who will not be named just stunned me beyond belief too as it seemed incredibly tone-deaf. I’m glad Sidie took accountability, though, and resolved the dilemma. I was concerned nothing would be done internally and PIC would become a pariah army.

Billy Bob: I was surprised that everything had happened at that time

Riri: well i was shocked when i saw scars retired and even moreso when i found out the reason why, what i didnt expect was for that to cause a whole chain reaction

T_T: shock, was just so much chaos going on within the span of just a few days

How do you think these developments will affect the future of PIC and its standing in the community?

Dino: I think the tone-deafness of letting that leader returned, whether their actions intentional or not, is going to leave a mark. Of course, many in PIC did not condone it, and Sidie taking action I think will lower the potential fallout damage to PIC’s damage should it return. Nevertheless, PIC’s future is going to be bleak. Even ignoring this massive fiasco, I didn’t know how PIC would continue considering Alu’s CPAB ban and rumors of internal strife. I was under the impression PIC might actually be in a very vulnerable position going forward success wise. So yeah, reputation/standing is going to be affected, but I think there’s also many questions how a hypothetical PIC return will do success wise even if the scandals never happened.

Billy Bob: I think its going to hit hard on pic because they need leaders and have to train many people.

Riri: help where do i begin, scars is gone, villa’s gone, 54’s gone and acp unallied them, i think pic’s cooked

T_T: i think their reputation as an army has completely gone down the gutter and they’d need do an insane amount of damage control to bring it back up to what it was during sidies leadership

With the fourth generation now declared over, do you think PIC will return in the future, or is this truly the end?

Dino: I think Sidie will want to keep PIC’s name in CPA, and I don’t even think this is necessarily a bad thing since Sidie worked very hard to create a CPPS army from scratch to such the heights PIC has had. I’d personally want to keep my army around if so since it’s great to see your creation outlive your career. But, as I explained above, the future is bleak even ignoring the fiasco and PIC is going to need to likely retool its army and find free agents if it wants to return and be successful; otherwise, it’d be an insult to the great legacy Sidie, Sha, and Cabin (among others) established. Never say never, I suppose.

Billy bob: I do think pic will make a comeback to the community.

Riri: genuinely have no clue how pic’s gonna recover from this bro, they lost an influential alliance and a bunch of leaders, so many retirements and rumors and allegations, if this is the end then i wouldnt be surprised at all

T_T: its been an army for a very long time, i do think at some point in the future it will return

Club Penguin Armies also managed to obtain an exclusive statement from PIC Commander-in-Chief Alucard.

The departure of Scars’ definitely came as a shock to the army and while it was unfortunate this is not why we’ve decided to put the army on hiatus, the decision to reinstate 54 came from a moment of confusion and desperation from Villa and I, the situation completely clouded our judgement and had allowed the safety of our army to be compromised and while he is a friend of ours, we cannot change what happened.

Upon finding out that he had been reinstated as leader, Sidie9 and Shallissa decided to put a hold on the army until further notice so that we can hold a proper meeting with Congressional figures and Legends within the army to discuss what shall happen moving forward.

Anyway enjoy this sick ass PIC flag I ordered a few weeks ago

In conclusion, the collapse of PIC’s fourth generation is a product of chaos, controversy, and difficult decisions. While this marks the end of an era, the legacy of PIC lives on through its battles, leaders, and community impact. Though the Confederation now rests, armies never stay gone forever. Could this truly be the final chapter, or is a fifth generation already waiting in the shadows? What do you think, will PIC rise once more, or fade into legend?
