On April 4, 2018, Army Legend Xing founded the Templars. The army took part in several wars and tournaments and, over time, grew to be one of the most prominent armies in the Club Penguin Private Servers era. Only 11 days after opening, TCP participated in its first war against the Elite Guardians, which came to be known as the First Great Holy War. The Templars, unfortunately, lost that war and due to internal problems, shut down shortly after.
Two months later, the army reopened and found itself at war once more, three days in. TCP allied with former enemies to form the Red Dawn Alliance during World War VII and, after a month of consecutive invasions, emerged victorious against the Rebel Penguin Federation. The Knights have engaged in multiple tournaments over the years, managing to make their way to the finals of the Christmas Chaos VIII.

It was not until 2022 that they received their first trophy for the New Year Bonanza tournament in 2022 and Legends Cup XIII in 2023. The Templars have participated in multiple wars since then against armies such as Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, the Secret Service, Water Vikings, and the Army of Club Penguin. This year, they have taken part in the ongoing March Madness X tournament and managed to make it to the Quarter-Finals. However, they were unable to secure a victory and did not proceed in the competition.

TCP’s anniversary event took place on Friday, 4 April and was a huge success. The Knights were able to achieve an impressive max of 50 troops, exceeding all expectations. The army seems to be proud of the outcome and excited for what lies ahead.

A New Dawn
Amidst the Anniversary Celebrations, the Templars witnessed Echo‘s official coronation as the new Emperor. This not only marked the beginning of a new era for the army but also a reflection of its evolving leadership.

Echo’s coronation speech
Club Penguin Armies interviewed Echo regarding his recent promotion as well as his thoughts on the anniversary event.
Did the anniversary event meet your expectations?
Oh it more than did. I was expecting 40+ and we managed to hit 50 people.
On top of that the energy of the army was warm and what I expected it to be. I was able to give my full speech and afterwards connect with friends that I hadn’t spoken to in ages. I love anniversaries because of this
What are any goals you have in future for the army?
Short term: get major back and max 30+ consistently
Long term: reach and dominate #1 again and wage war against those who wronged the army for many years
How do you feel about TCP’s growth throughout the years?
Oh its for sure been an experience and a lot of fluctuations in growth. But a lot of it is attributed to Xing. I am confident that the following years we will see the same sizes as in the past and better (without counting CPO lol). This time under a new leadership trained and forged by hard times such as that of last year
In what ways do you think your recent promotion will impact TCP’s future?
I think a lot of good will come from it. I do not intend to change the way the leadership dynamic works, but it sets the tone for a new generation and a new templar age.
This anniversary has clearly exceeded expectations and has been a massive success. We wish Echo all the best as he steps into his new role and continues to lead the army. But what do you think? What can we expect from TCP in the future?
