Battle Report: DCP Defeat SR and TBV

The Doritos of Club Penguin, Bastille Vanguard, and Scarlet Republic have all taken part in the recent March Madness X. While the Doritos are now set to face the Army of Club Penguin in a battle for Third Place, SR and TBV faced eliminations in the Qualifiers and Quarter Finals, respectively. This practice battle is unique among the ones recently held, as it involves three armies rather than the usual two. This can help armies practice battling in a chaotic room, as well as prepare them for the future, as we have seen tournaments where three or more armies have faced each other in the past.

Docks – Doritos of Club Penguin

DCP entered the room first, followed by TBV, with the Scarlet Republic nowhere to be seen. DCP entered an anchor formation whilst TBV entered an upside-down T formation. After two minutes in this room, SR finally joined. The sizes were 33-9-6 with DCP leading by a massive margin. TBV did a rake with SR, which DCP defended with a waterfall that TBV and SR could not counter. TBV got into another gappy upside-down T, and the judges could not see SR’s form. Sizes were 33-7-10, with DCP still leading. TBV did a bomb, which DCP defended well. Once TBV finished their bomb, they went to the middle. DCP raked and went into an underlined plus. TBV went into a V, and DCP did one final bomb before the room ended. Due to having a larger size, better forms, and faster speed, DCP won the room.

Iceberg – Doritos of Club Penguin

DCP entered the room first this time as well, followed by TBV and SR. DCP got into an A formation, and TBV got into a plus right after. SR struggled a bit but managed to make a diagonal form. TBV bombed, which DCP successfully covered, while SR got drowned out by the competing armies. TBV gets into a form, which the judges critique for being gappy, with multiple AFK troops. DCP gets into an arrow formation before bombing, with TBV and SR once again getting completely hidden. Sizes are 29-10-6 with DCP still leading. DCP got into a V with the left side containing a lot of holes. TBV at this point had no form while SR is completely AFK, sitting quietly. DCP won the second room due to their superior size and tactics.

Stadium – Doritos of Club Penguin

DCP entered first with TBV and SR right behind them. DCP surrounded the stadium with SR getting into a horizontal line while TBV moved to the chatbar. TBV then decided to get into the same horizontal that SR got into to cover them. DCP looked faster and bigger with only a few gaps in their formation that they fixed. DCP then raked, which makes TBV and SR completely invisible. TBV tried to bomb to match, but they only ended up drowning SR more. DCP got into a V, and SR raked the room to no avail. DCP’s formation is noted to be very bunched at the bottom left. TBV started logging off with four minutes left. SR moved to a vertical line formation, which DCP covered with ease. DCP bombed, covering SR once again. DCP tried to get into an X which suffered from bunching, and TBV showed up again. TBV raked and DCP did a whirlpool, finishing off with a plus. For the same reasons as before, DCP was awarded the win in this room, winning this practice battle.

Judge Billy Bawb announces the results

The battle seemed to serve as good practice for the three armies, especially for DCP in the run-up to their final March Madness X battle. What do you think of this battle? Which armies do you want to see battle next?
