Club Penguin Army Judges officially formed on February 23, 2022. Before its creation, the community relied on multiple organizations, most notably the Club Penguin Army Network and the Club Penguin Army Headquarters with a judging organization serving both leagues. However, frequent issues arose, especially following wars lacking proper judges, causing confusion and disputes. As these challenges persisted, talks began for one unified league. Current CPAJ Head Judge Spotty led the charge, advocating for a single, standardized judging system amongst the community hoping to spearhead a new era of judging within the community.

Following the creation of Club Penguin Armies on July 1, 2022, CPAJ officially opened its doors partnering with the new league. Alongside the opening of CPAJ army leaders voted in a new set of head judges from the previous league with the team finalizing as founder Spotty, Lightningmcj, AustinFraud, Popcorny, and Yvng took the responsibility of helming the judging organization. Three years later, despite many shakeups amongst the Head Judging team CPAJ continues to deliver quality judging and stands strong as an organization. Current head judges, Spotty, Jojo Teri, Shpec, and Yvng continue to helm the organization upholding the responsibility of being in charge of the organization allowing for it to stand strong 3 years later.

How do you feel about 3 years of CPAJ?
I’m happy that CPAJ has become a long-lasting organization and an important part of the general community. I hope that it will continue like that in the future, providing judges where it’s needed, for as long as there is a CPA community.
Do you and the other Head Judges have any upcoming plans regarding the future of CPAJ?
There are several plans ahead, some of which were included in the announcement that was posted on the CPAJ server. First of all we plan on updating and improving the judging guidelines, with the input of the army reps in the future meetings. In addition to that there will be guides written for Judges/Army leaders. This will help the army leaders (especially the newer ones) schedule valid invasions and battles while helping them and the judges by having all leagues/CPAJ battle/invasion rules all in one place. Also, we will improve the JiT training to ensure that all new judges are even better trained. Since we are updating things in CPAJ, we accept suggestions from the community, so if anyone has any they can dm me or another HJ.
In its third year, how do you think CPAJ has overcome the challenges faced?
CPAJ has overcome any challenges successfully. Even when in the last summer there were multiple battles in one day, or this month with 5 wars at once at a point, we still managed to provide judges for all battles. All this and with the judging team growing larger and larger by time, I believe CPAJ has overcome any challenges and is in a good place to keep doing so.
As CPAJ enters its third year, it continues to be a crucial part of the army community, as many still rely on its services. Furthermore, there appear to be major plans within the organization that could significantly shake things up. What major developments do you expect to see within CPAJ? Will CPAJ continue to stand as a success as we move into major tournaments? Although we may not know, we wish CPA Judges the best of luck in maintaining its prosperity.
