Undercover Troop: Let Me In!

Welcome to the fourth edition of Undercover Troop, where we secretly learn how armies operate behind the scenes and how staff respond to certain situations. In this edition, I went into various armies to test their verification system and how easy it is to gain access!

Designed by BEASTO

In this edition, I went undercover as a new recruit to evaluate the security measures of various armies. While most have some form of verification process upon entry, I wanted to see how strict or lenient these procedures truly are. I joined multiple armies, observed their verification methods, and assessed how easy or difficult it was to gain access. After careful consideration, I gave every army a rating I believe they deserved based on their security levels.

The following findings have been documented carefully to avoid bias. The analysis and scoring of each scenario are based on my (the author’s) personal experience.

REBEL PENGUIN FEDERATION

The first server I went undercover in was the Rebel Penguin Federation, here  I was quickly contacted by Patty, a staff member.

I found this interaction very friendly and straight to the point. Patty was very welcoming and also asked me clear and reasonable questions regarding my joining the army. Due to this, RPF get a 10/10.

ELITE GUARDIANS

Next up is the newly revived Elite Guardians of Club Penguin. After joining the army, I was quickly assisted by Lana, an EGCP staff member. Take a look at how the conversation went:

I received a fast response time from Lana as well as a friendly explanation of how the server worked in DMs.

Although she was very friendly during this interaction, I feel she could’ve been a little more strict about verification. Due to this, EGCP score a 6.6/10.

ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN

Upon entry to the Army of Club Penguin, I was immediately greeted by Snowy. He welcomed me to the server and then began the verification process.

Snowy was very welcoming as I joined the army and was keen on deploying security measures. He was also very helpful in explaining the server in DMs. However, I feel he could have done more to further strengthen the server’s security to prevent any potential threats from bypassing verification. Due to this, ACP receives a 7.9/10.

THE BASTILLE VANGUARD

Unfortunately, after joining TBV, I received no guidance or assistance and was left unattended to which resulted in the army’s score of a 0/10.

PEOPLE’S IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION

After joining the People’s Imperial Confederation, Armenzia quickly explained the verification system to me. Let’s see how it went:

I like the army’s system of creating a CPAB account before gaining access. That way, new members can get a brief understanding of the server upon entry as well as spare the staff the request to make one. A lot of people would give up at this point though which could lose a lot of potential troops. This can be seen as both a positive and a negative because it could keep out raiders and trolls but also recruits for the army. After creating my account, I DMed Armenzia but was unfortunately unaddressed and did not receive a response nor verification for hours. PIC scores a 5.8/10.

In conclusion, verification plays a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of every army. A well-structured system helps prevent unwanted threats, ensures that only legitimate members gain access, and strengthens the overall organization. While some armies prioritize strict verification measures, others may have vulnerabilities that could be exploited. By continuously improving these systems, armies can create a safer and more efficient environment for their members. But what did you think of this edition of Undercover Troop? How would you rate these armies’ responses?
