First announced on February 9, Candy Crusher is a brawl tournament inspired by Mchappy‘s Trick or Treat Trials. Taking place over Valentine’s weekend, the tournament is split into Major and Small/Medium categories. Armies will have specific objectives that they will have to complete throughout the room.
To discover the community’s thoughts on who the victors of the tournament will be, Club Penguin Armies reached out to several individuals to hear their thoughts.
Major
Armies competing in the Major category include Christmas Chaos XIV champions Rebel Penguin Federation, newly at war Army of Club Penguin and Doritos as well as contenders such as Aliens and Help Force. There will be fierce competition to see who the winner will be, especially due to the recent large number of wars and promotions we have seen in the community.
Who do you think will be taking home the trophy for the inaugural Candy Crusher Brawl in the Major division?
Scars, PIC Commander: I think this will definitely be a tough decision. Aliens proved all of CPA wrong in CC, DCP and ACP have been battling for number 1 for months, RPF always does good in tournaments, and HF won LC. All of the armies are good choices and will show out but I think that the win will go to RPF. RPF are coming off a CC win and are always a good option in tournaments. I think they’ll be able to show out and combined with their vet-base, take the win.
Vitorwin, TBV Leader: I think it will be close in relation to the Major armies, but I think that because the DCP is preparing very well they will take this. But the RPF has great chances too.
Cobra, S/M Army Legend: I sense DCP will win. I don’t think ACP or RPF are going to spend as many resources into this tournament as they clearly have the major tournaments in sight
Yellow Typer, Former DPC Leader: Rpf or dcp. Both of the armies are dominating forces. We all already know that rpf could win battles without trying then on the other hand dcp has a strong EU division but if I had to choose one then I’d say rpf
Dillon, S/M Army Legend: RPF wins bc it’s RPF
With the Major predictions concluded, there is a wide range of expectations and proposed victors, with competition tight. However, one thing is certain; this will be an interesting mini-tournament. Following on from the Major predictions, let us now see what the community thinks of the S/M side of things.
Small/Medium
Armies competing in the S/M division include the intelligent Smart Penguins, newly revived Water Vikings, the fierce Scarlet Republic, the People’s Imperial Confederation, Elite Guardians, alongside the Dark Pirates and finally The Bastille Vanguard. The currently volatile S/M scene will surely provide for an exciting and enjoyable tournament to both participate in, and view.
Who do you think will be taking home the trophy for the inaugural Candy Crusher Brawl in the S/M division?
Aurora, Senior Reporter: wv or egcp – biggest armies, though just coming back could mean another army would take advantage idk, size + tactics’d help either win but it’s not a guarantee.
Diwix, Managing Editor: I personally believe that the Water Vikings will be victorious, as I anticipate them to bring a strong return to the Small/Medium scene. Excited for the winners, good luck in advance to all my S/M armies out there!
Buhny, RPF: Hey there! No doubt, I gotta support our awesome allies Water Vikings! I know they’ll take home the win
Snork, Managing Editor: I think that the Elite Guardians have got this one. They have a lot of tournament experience behind them so I’m confident they will be able to perform well.
Dillon, S/M Legend: WV wins S/M because I will be attending
Aisha, Doritos Leader: TBV or WV based on what I’ve personally seen. with TBV when they have huge events they tend to hype them really well and max good, and for WV came out of lockdown recently and have been maxxing good too, and both armies have good strategies too.
Overall the first-ever Candy Crusher is set to be spectacular. We will surely see some close and entertaining battles in the future. Plenty believe that RPF could win the major side, but others again promote Doritos, off the back of their recent war spree. As for S/M, the Water Vikings seem to be favourites. But how correct will these predictions be? Do you agree, or disagree with them? Be sure to let us know your predictions as we head into the tournament weekend.
