As January comes to a close, we step into February with reflections on a month filled with exciting and noteworthy moments. From setting the tone for the year ahead to significant shifts in the community, January laid the groundwork for what is to come. Now, let’s dive into the top five highlights that defined the start of 2025.

Like how it is done every month, the Club Penguin Armies staff team came together and hosted an internal vote for what we believed to be the “Top Five Moments” of January 2025. The year started well, with a total of 27 moments to be voted, reflecting the bustling atmosphere in CPA last month. Without further ado, let us dive into the top five moments.
5. People’s Imperial Confederation Wins War Against Dark Pirates

On January 15, 2025, the People’s Imperial Confederation declared war on the Dark Pirates of Club Penguin. This was only a few weeks after DPCP reopened on December 27, 2024. The first war battle took place on January 19, 2025. Unfortunately, DPCP was unable to achieve a max of 10, this battle was automatically forfeited, resulting in a win for the People’s Imperial Confederation. On January 24 we witnessed another battle. Unlike the previous battle, however, PIC was unable to get 10 penguins on the battle, resulting in an automatic DPC win. There were a few other battles, however were no-shows. On January 29, Scars made an announcement on the PIC Discord server, addressing the lack of activity in the war, also declaring them as official victors.

4. Rivalry Reignited! Doritos Declares Off-Map War on Army Of Club Penguin

In an effort to kick off the year on the right foot, following their unfortunate loss in the Christmas Chaos XIV Finals, the Doritos declared war on the Army of Club Penguin. The declaration, entitled “Revenge Tour 2025: Army of Club Penguin” describes grave transgressions against the wider army community by the Clovers. The two armies are no strangers to conflict, and this war was expected to be one for the ages. Things weren’t always like this, though. When DCP were first created in World War V they were allies with ACP. This blossomed into a brother alliance, lasting until 2020, and the dispute between the New Dawn Alliance and the Black Ice Alliance. The war abruptly ended due to ACP’s abstention, on the grounds of not recognizing an off-map war.

2. Club Penguin Armies Announces Map Changes

On January 18th, Club Penguin Armies released the changes to the server map. With these changes, two new zones were unlocked. The pink Territory Zones need certain maxes to be unlocked; when at war, the invading army has to reach the max of the Territory Tier. There are also no-allies Wilderness Zones, meaning the army invading is not allowed to have any ally online.
On January 25th, a grace period took place dedicated to the armies to invade new free lands without having to worry about war. After this ended, the invasions and declarations of war began. All armies have till February 22, 10 AM EST to claim the new land that has been released.

1. Club Penguin Army Legends 2024 Results Released

On January 4, the highly anticipated results of the 2024 Legends Inductions were finally announced, sparking excitement and discussion throughout the community. This annual event is one of the most prestigious traditions, recognizing individuals who have made a lasting impact. The road to this moment was a long and competitive one, beginning with an open nomination process where community members had the opportunity to put forward the names of those they believed were most deserving of the title of CPA legend.
Once the nomination phase concluded, the top three individuals with the highest number of votes were selected as the Community Nominee Winners. From there, the process entered its most crucial stage: the board discussions and votes. In the end, Link3000 was inducted as Major Army Legend, and Shinzo was inducted as Small/Medium Army Legend.
