Dark pirates revived

The Dark Pirates reopened on December 27, 2024, following a six-month shutdown. Their opening event saw a maximum of 15 penguins, after which they registered with Club Penguin Armies. Under the command of army founders Ninja Leader and DefenderTide, as well as Shrekkks, the army is hopeful it can achieve glory. Since then, the army has scheduled multiple events to be hosted on January to spark off their year in 2025.

SWAT Team up WITH DARK PIRATES

Special Weapons and Tactics have recently undergone mass leadership changes. This follows after Fun X Time, Zooy and Fwapo departed the army, alongside many other High Command members. New leaders include Kyle104, Maguro and Shazam and it is evident that these additions are seeking to bolster the army’s presence, which this alliance will help achieve. It is important to note that this alliance had existed in the past, but broke down in May 2024, due to an ongoing war between SWAT and the People’s Imperial Confederation, who were DPC’s allies.

Alliance Restored

On December 28, one day after the Pirates’ official reopening, they announced their alliance with SWAT. This was the army’s first act of diplomacy since their return. Notably, SWAT has been struggling recently, with their highest top-ten placement for December being tenth. We must also remember that these armies are heavily conflated, as following the closure of DPC’s first generation, they once merged into Special Weapons and Tactics.

Following recent events, Club Penguin Armies reached out to DefenderTide and Kyle104, for an exclusive interview.

Why did you choose to ally with this specific army?

DefenderTide: DPC has chosen to ally with SWAT due to our shared history with the army. Additionally, I have a good relationship with some of their new leaders, so this alliance was essentially inevitable.

Kyle104: Well me and one of their leaders tide had plans to create an army together in the past, but as of recent times with me leading SWAT and him reviving DPC and seeing their recent growth me and the leaders decided with both our visions we could become two of the biggest armies anyone has ever seen

What do you see for the future of this alliance?

DefenderTide: For the future, I hope to see both DPC and SWAT rise to become great armies once again. I understand that DPC has faced instability in the past, but I believe this alliance will strengthen both armies and help us achieve greatness together.

Kyle104: I see us both dominating the club penguin army scene, with the bonds we have with the leaders and us both planning to return with different tactics.

How do you feel this alliance will impact further diplomatic relations?

DefenderTide: I understand that some armies, which I won’t name, may be unhappy about this alliance. However, I don’t believe anything drastic will come from it. If something serious does happen, I’m not opposed to going to war

Kyle104: I don’t feel like it will impact potential alliances in any negative way

To conclude, I believe it is clear to see that this renewed alliance will benefit both DPC and SWAT. Their assistance has been helpful to one another in the past.
