After a few weeks of activity on the battlefield, the Lawyers of Club Penguin have shut down. Let us dive deep into their army and see what they have planned for the future.

The Lawyers of Club Penguin have arrived in the community under the leadership of Judy, 32op, and Scars. They announced their opening on October 14, 2024, hosting their opening event two weeks later on October 28. As they opened, LCP quickly formed alliances with the Crystals of Club Penguin, Scars of Club Penguin, Water Vikings, and the Phantom Republic of Club Penguin.

However, on November 23, 2024, they announced the closure of the army. They ceased existence for some time and dissolved their alliances.

Club Penguin Armies contacted one of the leaders of Lawyers of Club Penguin, Judy to get more information regarding this closure.

What was the cause of your shutdown?

Honestly, there are a few reasons. One reason is naturally due to focus on Christmas Chaos and being there at 110% for ACP. However, it was on my mind for a while because I want to cut off some loose ends in CPA. Other than that, mostly due to the demand for commitment to things irl and no long being able to maintain the concentration juggling between two armies and multiple responsibilities in CPA.

Do you plan to revive the army in the future?

Absolutely. Looking back, I think a lot of this was wrong place, wrong time. In the future though? I defiantly thing good things can come of LCP and I’ll do exactly what I came here to do.

What is the history tied to the name “Lawyers of CP”?

Now this is interesting because in fact we did have a different name. Originally, behind the scenes, four of us came together and discussed LCP for a while under a completely different aesthetic. The entire idea was themed around mermaids and fairies with a ranking system in order of the birthstones, under the name UTOPIA of Club Penguin. This however, changed due to a complete shift in the founders.

As we progress into Christmas Chaos, Club Penguin Armies wishes to bid farewell to the Lawyers in their future endeavors. Their presence, laid out by the founders’ vision has made their mark in the community. How do you feel about their shutdown? Do you think the army will soon make a return?
