While many armies have recently been created, the Bastille Vanguard in particular caught the community’s attention. Join us as we explore the origin of the army, as well as their plans for the future.
On November 2, a new army appeared: The Bastille Vanguard. Created by Vitorwin, Aucracia, and Seila, this new army is composed of former members of the Elite Guardians of CP. Upon opening, the army saw a total of 20 Vanguardites in attendance. Given this, many considered the onset of the newfound army a great success.
The Bastille Vanguard maxing 20 in their opening event
The recent closure of the Elite Guardians is mainly what led to the creation of this new army. The army’s leadership consists mainly of former EGCP moderators who, after Fitsuki’s alleged coup, no longer felt they wanted to remain in the army. According to the leaders, these events led to mass dissatisfaction with the EGCP Consulate amongst the moderator ranks. In response, they opted to create the Vanguard Bastille. This creation took place after the eventual shutdown of the Elite Guardians, marking the start of a new chapter. With this fresh start, the army has experienced rapid growth as in their debut week, nearly 100 members joined their Discord server.
Club Penguin Armies reached one of the leaders, Aucracia, to query about the army’s new beginnings.
The army is based in Brazil, but its name derives from French. Why is that?
When thinking about a theme, we didn’t want to do anything too generic that screams that it’s a Brazilian army, especially because we accept members from everyone. The history of France is interesting, and when we went to name and theme the army, we decided it would be cool to make a reference to it.
What are the objectives of the army in the future?
I just say that we will be a powerful and large army.
What did you think about the opening event?
It was better than I expected, I thought we wouldn’t have more than 15. I thank everyone who went to the event, including the CPA members who supported us
As is clear in the interview, the success of the opening event astonished the leaders of the Bastille Vanguard. In their own words, they have set their sights high, and aim to be a “powerful and large army”. We at Club Penguin Armies wish them well in their future endeavors, and the community is eager to see how this new army will develop. What do you think? Will the Bastille Vanguard thrive? Will their future events be as successful as their first?
