Templars Welcome New And Old Faces Into Leadership

As the War of Vengeance comes to an end, the Templars see new and old faces join their leadership with Dawn, Moon, Nicky, and Legoman. We will see if the boost in manpower can help them bounce back from their recent surrender.

The Templars have faced a turbulent period in the past week. They concluded  their war with the Help Force on August 26, with no official victor. Minutes after the Jerusalem-Zipline Treaty came into effect, the Secret Service declared the War of Vengeance on them. At the time of the new leaders’ arrival, the war score stood at 0-8 in the Secret Service’s favor. Despite the Templars no-showing and logging off early from multiple battles, there was no shortage of fighting off the battlefield, with allegations being made by both sides of the conflict.

Dawnables joined armies in 2019, taking on several staff positions before retiring in 2020. Joining the Templars during the summer of 2022, it was not long until she became their leader that November. In September 2023, she took on the mantle of Empress. Though no retirement announcement was made, she stepped back from leading this summer, with Sidie9 becoming the newest Empress.

Legoman began his army career with the Dark Warriors in March 2020. He went on to create the Legoman Army and lead several other armies, including the People’s Imperial Confederation and Special Weapons and Tactics.

Moon became a Templar in December 2021 after a brief stint in the Secret Service, entering leadership in March 2023. She remained a Grand Prior for over a year before retiring at the same time as Nicky in June 2024. The latter joined the Templars via recruitment in May 2021 and became leader less than a year later in April 2022. He led the army to great success, including a win in Legends Cup XII, before retiring in June 2024 alongside Moon.

The promotions happened without announcement in the Templars’ Discord server on September 1. We can discern that the reason was to support the current leaders through their war with their years of experience. The new Grand Priors were quick to work that evening, with Nicky and Legoman leading an unsuccessful Invasion of Frozen. Unfortunately for them, the Templars surrendered just a day later, and the Secret Service claimed victory in a treaty.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Dawnables, Legoman, Moon, and Nicky to find out their feelings on entering at such a time for the army, however, we did not receive a response.

It is clear that the Templars are ready to fight, but it remains to be seen whether doubling the number of leaders they have will influence their army’s performance. Do you think the Templars will make a comeback following their defeat? Are there more changes for Templars on the horizon?
