The Legends Cup usually sees armies stray away from war, however, the Elite Guardians have gone on the offensive by invading the Squids.

In mid-June, the Winged Hussars declared war on the Dark Pirates. This war saw two small/medium armies battle it out on the battlefield to challenge themselves and increase competition between small/medium armies. Despite wanting to increase competition and improve the skills of their armies, only 5 battles took place during the war. Towards the end of the war, there were attempts to make a peace treaty but their attempts broke down due to the treaties being invalidated by Club Penguin Armies‘ Administration.
Following the peace treaty attempts, the Hussars continued to invade Dark Pirates. Ultimately, the end of the war came after Dark Pirates no-showed three battles in a row. This broke Winged Hussars’ declaration terms, automatically giving the Hussars the win and the opportunity to write up a force treaty. Despite having the ability to take all of Dark Pirates’ land the Hussars opted to take three of their six remaining servers (Frozen, Icicle, and Summit). This left the Pirates with Sleet, Migrator and Skates.
Winged Hussars and Dark Pirates’ Treaty
On June 29th, the Dark Pirates transferred their remaining land to Squids, a relatively new army within the community. The Squids were originally formed in 2020 on Club Penguin Online with their revival coming after four years of inactivity. The army hosted its revival event on June 13th 2024, maxing 10 penguins. Following their revival, the army participated in the Legends Cup Qualifiers, however, they were unable to beat Special Weapons And Tactics.
Following the Dark Pirates’ transfer to Squids, the Elite Guardians scheduled two invasions just two hours later. Their first invasion is set to take place on Tuesday, July 2nd at 9 am EST. With that being said, why did the Elite Guardians decide to invade the Squids? Was this course of action planned before the transfers were made?

What led the Guardians to invade the Squids?
They made a silly joke about Neymar. Just kidding. There is no deep reason that justifies our move against them. By Squids’ request, we are protecting their servers for a certain time.
Was there a specific reason EGCP opted against declaring war?
As said above, there is no casus belli at all. It is just a special operation mutually agreed upon both armies.
One of the notes that will be made about the invasions will be that a major is taking land from a small/medium. What would your response be to this?
If people read my first answer they will realize there is no war, nor hostilities between our armies. On the contrary, we have good relations with one another. We appreciate Squids trusting our Empire to safeguard their land.
With EGCP looking to add more land to their empire, can we expect to see warfare break out soon?
Although these invasions against Squids have nothing to do with our expansionist desires, I can say the map will be soon subjugated to our Empire. Just like we always did to every single server map we landed in during our first generation, we shall dominate the current and expand our glorious land.

In your opinion, what motives could the Guardians have for invading the newly revived army?
They are hungry for Calamary sir, what else? We get new land, new members and all of a sudden they want to invade or lands and eat us Squids. We are poisonis BTW, do they wanna get poisoned?!?
What are your plans going forward with their invasions in mind?
We will fight till the last squid no matter what. We will make it clear to the community that our squids are not edible and we will protect our oceans no matter what! vida longa às lulas
Although war has not officially broken out, tensions may start to rise between the two armies. The Squids look to defend their land against the Elite Guardians. However, the Guardians stated that they would merely be protecting their landpieces for the time being. What does this mean for the future? Are Squids planning for a war soon? What are your thoughts?
