World War VII, later coined as the Second Great Holy War, was a period during which the Rebel Penguin Federation contested against the Templars, and eventually the Red Dawn Alliance. The RDA was composed of the Elite Guardians, the Templars, the Club Penguin Socialist Movement, the Pizza Federation, the Dancing Shark Squad, the Water Ninjas, and the Omegas. In addition, the Red Dawn Alliance was headed by the first two armies, which were the largest ones of the group. This war occurred from July 7th, 2018, until August 15th on Club Penguin Online.

Nonetheless, most of the RDA armies eventually closed and were removed from the alliance. What caused this war? Which party established victory? Let us find out in today’s edition of Picture Perfect.

Red Dawn Alliance Preparing To Raid RPF

Context

The Rebels had been classified as the only Major army in the community for too long. There were too many tensions between the Rebels and the remainder of the army community. Thus, this caused an anti-RPF movement in the army society.

Furthermore, Army Legend Elmikey was forced out of RPF’s leadership in December 2017 due to several allegations against his persona. His removal strengthened the anti-RPF movement, as the former proceeded to create the Rebel Penguin Marines. Former RPF troops who were loyal to Elmikey also decided to leave the army and join RPM. The main purpose of RPM was to overthrow the RPF leadership and reinstate Elmikey as the main leader once again. After some controversies involving the army and Club Penguin Rewritten (the main CPPS used before CPO), it eventually shut down, merging into the Templars. After some time, Elmikey would then join the army’s leadership.

Other armies began to improve over time. The Elite Guardians, a rising and prominent force, were the first to match RPF’s sizes of 30–50. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the Guardians were the first rivals the Rebels first met after Club Penguin’s closure. By that time, the Elite Guardians were the heads of the New Viking Alliance, a major military alliance originally formed by Army Legends SavageCobra and Cookky2 that united against the Romans and the Underground Mafias Army. After a successful war against these two, the Guardians kept influencing the NVA armies. This would play a big role later on, as the NVA rose as the main alliance that stood up against RPF.

On July 6th, 2018, the Rebels raided a training event hosted by the Templars. The Templars were unable to defeat the Rebels due to their large force. The motives of the Rebels were unknown, and there was confusion within the army community.

War

The Rebel Penguin Federation formally declared a state of war on July 7th, 2018. The declaration was essentially an exposé against the Templars, which accused the Knights of multilogging and providing refuge to Elmikey. The Templars and the Elite Guardians held a practice battle to kick off the war. However, the Guardians opted not to join the war at the time; although they would provide diplomatic assistance to the Templars. The first battle of the war was a raid against a Templar recruiting event. The Rebels outnumbered the Templars at it and claimed their first win.

Operation: Dynamis

Operation: Dynamis was a strategic plan undertaken by the Federation. In this plan, the Federation visibly fired their High Command member Plane, who had soon fled to the Templars and had secretly gathered relevant information. Plane soon returned to the Federation, and a post following his return was published. The post asserted that the firing and the fleeing of Plane was a deliberate plan, and the post also shared pictures of TCP Leaders Cobra and Elmikey scolding Xing for multilogging.

Tuesday Raids

The Tuesday Raids were some early critical moments of the war. The Rebels raided events of the Templars and the Pizza Federation on Tuesday, July 10th, for unknown reasons. The first raid was unsuccessful, while the second was not. Both events were recruiting events, while the Pizza Federation’s event was their first recruiting event on CPO, after spending months on CPR. In response, PZF leader Chelpopkick declared war on RPF. The Pizza Federation was the first army to form an alliance with TCP and rally against RPF.

Following the Tuesday Raids, a certain disdain for the Templar leader Xing started to grow. This feeling led some armies, such as the Hawk Knights of CP, and the UMA to join RPF against them. Nonetheless, with the addition of Epic101 – who was also CPO Army League Admin back then – joined TCP’s leadership. His influence on the league and the game itself provided growth in the army. After many diplomatic deliberations, the Templars also managed to convince the CP Socialist Movement to declare war on RPF and join their cause.

hostilities between egcp and rpf

Even though the Elite Guardians chose not to join the conflict – initially – hostilities between them and the Rebels started to grow during July. On July 14th, a practice battle was held between two armies. Taking the community by surprise, the Guardians managed to outperform the Rebels on the battlefield, bringing a huge force of 50+ troops. Although there were no official judges, CPOAL Admin Waterkid101 agreed that the Guardians were the winners. The army community would praise this victory, which was a symbol of the balance of power starting to shift.

Prior to the practice battle, however, the Rebels would raid three EGCP events, with two having to be canceled due to offensive tactics directed at the army. RPF Leader Perry would say this was an attempt to call EGCP to a practice battle, which took place on the aforementioned date.

After this battle, skirmishes, and fights between both armies became more frequent. After some incidents between the armies, Army Legend and EGCP Leader Edu14463 wrote an exposé against the RPF, showing evidence of alleged xenophobia and misconduct.

Moreover, amid the war, the army community saw the Legends Cup VIII. On July 28th, the semi-finals would be EGCP vs. RPF. After a close battle that went to overtime, the Guardians would face their first tournament loss. The Rebels faced the Elite Trackers and Activities in the finals, winning the tournament for the fourth time in history. Tensions between the Guardians and the Rebels reached a point of no return, with the Elite Guardians finally declaring war on RPF after their match and teaming up with the Templars.

Red Dawn Alliance

Meanwhile, the formation of the Red Dawn Alliance on July 25th became a turning point for the war, as anti-RPF armies teamed up. After the aforementioned events, the war council consisting of Cookky, Cobra, Edu, Elmikey, and Xing would formalize plans against the RPF and officially build the RDA. Many other armies, such as the Wild Ninjas – who were EGCP’s brother allies – and the Water Ninjas also joined the war. The Alliance would consistently acquire sizes of over 60-80, surpassing those of the Rebels.

On July 27th, the Templars held an event at which CPO administration and moderation used powers to influence the sizes. This was one of the largest events so far, with Templars boosting their sizes through unfair means to over 30. This event was led by leaders from various affiliations, including Epic101, Elmikey, and Reacon. The Rebels launched a raid against the event a few minutes later, looking at the repetitive tactics the Templars were using.

On July 31st, the Elite Trackers and Activities would team up with the Rebels and form an alliance named United Armies of CPO, whose main purpose was to repel the RDA. After some controversies regarding Epic’s and Xing’s actions inside the RDA, both were kicked out of it and, later on, CPO banned Templars from the game, marking their departure from the war.

That day also marked the last formal battle of the war, the Battle of Flurry. RDA and UAC leaders had agreed on rooms beforehand and hyped their sizes. Both alliances maxed around 70+, with Chip and Left leading the UAC, and Cookky, Cobra, Edu, Epic, and Elmikey leading RDA. Nonetheless, allegations of the UAC joining rooms earlier to cause lock-outs on RDA soon rose. Even though Left tried to defend himself, the community discredited his defense as the allegations were found to be true, declaring the UAC the losing alliance in the battle.

Conclusion of the War

The last raid of the war occurred on August 3rd, with both sides claiming victory in a close battle. However, after attempts at couping CPOAL’s administrator Epic101, CPO staff promptly banned many armies from CPO. The majority of them were from RDA. RDA Commander Elmikey took part in it, and, thus, faced banishment as well. The following day, Epic would deface RDA’s Discord server. The alliance quickly released an exposé against the administrator claiming he used the alliance for personal gain.

The conclusion of the war took place on August 15th, after the Rebels officially shut down and stopped operating on Club Penguin. This led the Red Dawn Alliance to declare victory in World War VII. This fading end of war certainly surprised many. In October of 2018, the RDA would officially cease operations after successfully fulfilling its mission. This war marked the first major loss the RPF suffered in the CPPS era.

A rejuvenated start of the war had set the conclusion of the war in a whimper. The Rebels could have managed to claim victory if they had more time. The mass banishment and unfair use of administrative powers may have been a flaw. On the contrary, the Alliance could have ousted their enemies in a more invasive way, rather than seeing the army shut down. Who deserved the victory more? Do you anticipate another World War in the future?
