Following the Elite Eight’s battles, and some controversy always thrown into the mix, it’s time to announce the Semi Finals information for the armies moving on. However, the league must address a few house items first.
March Madness IX begun March 9 following a change from the double elimination format to the preferred single elimination. Despite this change, a couple armies pulled out, leaving this year’s March Madness with only an Elite Eight to compete for the clover trophy.
Nonetheless, the community has proven that it is impossible to go one March without some kind of drama. Madness for March Madness, per usual.
Administrative Statement
During the battle between the Elite Guardians and People’s Imperial Confederation (PIC), a few tactics were brought to the league’s attention. Specifically, one tactic that referenced Confederation leader Shallissa. Additionally, the league was provided evidence that newly-promoted leader, Cobra, of the Elite Guardians was once a part of a doxing server that targeted Shallissa.
Considering our general battle terms, and a past precedent set between a Templars and Special Weapons and Tactics war, we took this matter seriously and immediately reached out to Club Penguin Armies advisors, Club Penguin Army Judges, and the respective armies.
First, the Battleground team decided that Cobra, Fitsuki, and Lass will be banned from Battleground. Secondly, Cobra has been banned from our server due to his past involvement in doxing practices. This all being said, the league has decided not to disqualify the Elite Guardians.
During our investigation, we discovered that Fitsuki had made a similar comment about all of the Confederation leaders, leading us to believe that this was not meant to be a direct tie to a dox from years past. For some weeks now, the Elite Guardians changed their Discord server to match a Star Wars theme.
During our investigation, it was proven that Cobra was neither involved in creating the tactic, nor has actively discussed or distributed information about Shallissa’s dox. Nonetheless, if any of the three banned individuals attempt to ban evade, the administration will no longer be inviting the Elite Guardians to future tournaments. This is not negotiable.
Thank you for your patience as we take the time to address this matter. (A friendly reminder: if your “sibling” is planning to attend the event, you must send a picture of both devices’ screens to the administrators.)
