After an eventful 2023, 2024 has now arrived in style. With this in mind, community members have started to make their New Year’s resolutions to help make 2024 even better.
Now that 2023 is well and truly behind us, people will start looking towards the future. At the start of every year, a lot of people start to make New Year’s resolutions to benefit themselves or others. Some people may use this as an opportunity to stop doing a particular activity, for example, overeating. In contrast, others may see it as an opportunity to set themselves a goal to hit by the end of the year like getting their army to the top spot in the Top Tens. Not all of these are personal, however, as some may aim to help those who are in need.
People’s resolutions vary depending on what they want to achieve. This also means they may have several resolutions for themselves, their army or their work/school. Whatever their resolutions are, community members will aim to start the year off on the right foot, using these resolutions as a stepping stone to do so.
With that being said, Club Penguin Armies approached some community members to find out their New Year’s resolutions.
Cracked [Rebel Penguin Federation]: I don’t really have any resolutions, mostly because it’s hard to plan ahead for an entire year. So, I just go with whatever comes at me and if I decide to set some resolutions, I don’t have to wait until the end of the year for them
Zay [Army of Club Penguin]: I think one of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2024 is to focus on myself a lot more. I’ve notably spent less time on myself than I should’ve last year, and I want to change that. Furthermore, I’m prioritizing music above all else as I’ve publicly spoken about it before. I think in order for me to achieve being a musician, I need to give myself the space and time to let the creative process flow which I think is what I need out of this year. And also, I‘ll definitely continue activity in the CPA community.
Bigabau [Elite Guardians of Club Penguin]: In 2024, my focus is to wholeheartedly pursue my passions for music, martial arts and design while maintaining dedication to my studies as I approach entrance exams. I also aim to elevate my literary quotient by embracing more frequent reading sessions. Lastly, I am determined to advance my japanese language and programming studies.
Shortly after gathering these resolutions, a channel was made by the Community Committee to allow members to share their New Year’s resolutions. Here are some of the community’s resolutions:
Jester [Army Veteran]: Be inducted as legend a second time after nefarious false accusations by certain corrupt individuals praying on my downfall.
Sweater [People’s Imperial Confederation]:
[IRL]: Improve my physical health, definitely gonna quit energy and sugary drinks and focus on being healthy and lose weight.
[Army-Related] Lead PIC to major status. Gotta step up my game and figure out a better work-life balance to make it happen.
[Community] Find time for media again, love writing posts.Spotty [Head Judge]: Be less hated and less fights. Keep Cpaj open – listen to community concerns. Just vibe.
Zooy [Special Weapons And Tactics]: Be a functional part of society and contribute to it in a positive way. Be more involved with CPA Community. Spend more time with family?
It is clear to see that each of these community members has their own goals for 2024. They are not the same as other members’, showing the different resolutions people create. It is interesting to see that many have chosen to focus on real-life goals. Bigabau intends to pursue their passions while Sweater wants to get in shape, improving his physical health. These are just some of the many shared by the community.
However, some have also made resolutions for their time in armies. Spotty has expressed their desire to keep CPAJudges open and to listen to the community. This is a big part of being a figurehead within the community, whether it be as a Head Judge or a Staff member. Each role is important and holds power. Therefore, it is important to make sure the community has their say. After all, without the people within the community, it would not exist.
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2024? Were you able to achieve those you set in 2023? Have you set goals for armies as well as real life? Be sure to let us know! We, at Club Penguin Armies, wish everyone the best of luck for the year to come.
