In a surprising turn of events, and after being recently promoted to Commander in Chief of Special Weapons and Tactics, FWAPO made an official announcement on the 29th of November stating that he would be retiring from the army. In his retirement message, he mentioned his decrease in activity within the army and having taken a break prior to his promotion which had been affecting his roles and responsibilities as a leader. While his tenure as a leader was short-lived, he assures the Agents in his note that he will support the army whenever he is able to, and to not lose hope. Despite departing from the leadership, he has faith that the army is in good hands and will be able to accomplish great things under the current Commanders.

FWAPO’s retirement message

FWAPO joined the army community in early 2021 by being recruited into Special Weapons and Tactics by Legoman. His initial stay in the army wouldn’t last long as he left sometime after. However, he decided to rejoin the following year on December 29th under Coolguy‘s leadership. Since then, he has been to prove his loyalty to the army and has been with the Agents through their good as well as bad times. He was serving as a Leader in Training within the army for quite a few months before his promotion to Commander, and will now be taking on the roles of Former Commander and Veteran in the army.

A recent event of Special Weapons and Tactics

Club Penguin Armies reached out to FWAPO for an interview to learn more about his retirement and what he plans to do next.

What is the reason behind your retirement?

I have been noticing that there are a lot of gaps that need to be filled that’s why it’s urgent and crucial to remove army thoughts from my mind till I see myself that I am ready to be back.

What would you say has been the best thing about being a Leader?

I’ve only been one for like 1 month but working with people that can agree is one of the best things you can ask.

Could you share your favorite memory/memories of the army with me, if it’s not too personal?

Probably reaching #1 two times this year it has been really a bit mark on all of us and we for sure hope for the same in the near future.

Do you plan to come back at any time in the future?

Yes, I’ll be back when the time is right.

Any final words or advice that you would like to give to the staff team and the army at large?

Don’t let the army go away, our staff are surely working and attending trying to get the army back up and it has been noticed that there is determination shown from them.

Regardless of his brief term with the Agents, FWAPO believes that the army will be able to bounce back from adversity and achieve success within the community. We wish him and the Special Weapons and Tactics, the very best in all of their future endeavors and hope to see FWAPO return soon!
