Oli Steps Down From SWAT Leadership

As The Troubled Allies War comes to a close, the Special Weapons and Tactics witness one of their leaders, Oli, stepping down from the leadership. This is not an official retirement, however, as Oli will still be serving the army as a Second in Command.

On January 10, Oli, one of the leaders at Special Weapons and Tactics, announced that he would be stepping down from his position. Having been a Leader in the army since October 2022, he mentioned in his statement that he is unable to devote the time and energy to lead at this point, as his real-life commitments are imperative. However, he has decided to remain in the army and help out as a Second in Command.

Oli’s official announcement

On February 18, 2021, Ganger90 recruited Oli into the Special Weapons and Tactics. Oli was quick to climb through the ranks and received the Agent of the Week in April 2021. At the beginning of the coming year, he was awarded Staff of the Week, shortly after which he was inducted as a Leader in Training, in the army. After 8 months of hard work and his dedication and loyalty toward the Agents, he was welcomed into the leadership on October 19, 2022. Under his leadership, the army not only partook in Division Wars Recruiting Tournaments, and Olympics within the army but also went on to participate in the community tournament – Christmas Chaos XII, and go to war against three armies. The army also ranked second in the month of December 2022 during his leadership.
This is what, Ganger90 (G90), the creator of Special Weapons and Tactics said about Oli, when he was inducted as the army’s leader –

The Agents held a Retirement Event for Oli and celebrated it with a battle against the Templars, maxing a size of 24.

Retirement Event for Oli

Club Penguin Armies had the opportunity to talk to Oli, and inquire more about his stepping down from the army’s leadership.

Why did you decide to step down from the position of Leader?

I have stepped down as a leader because I think that I have not got enough time to lead SWAT right now. I am not planning on retiring or leaving SWAT. I will keep doing whatever I can for SWAT and still try and invest time in them.

Do you think you could execute all that you had planned for the army, during your time as a Leader?

I wanted the army to claim the second spot in the Top Ten. I was also working hard to make that happen, and that is what we did on January 1st and 2nd. I was especially pleased with the army when we got 2nd in the whole month of December!

What would you say has been the best thing about being a Leader?

Meeting new people coming to SWAT, they all have been very nice and funny. I have them to thank for making my leadership so exciting. Also, the leadership team has been great! Ganger 90, Coolguy, Legoman, Logical, and Rye have all been very nice! I hope they all continue to make SWAT great as they always do.

Will you return to the position of Leader in the future?

I do hope so, Seeing as I have been in SWAT for almost 3 years now and I’m planning to stay for more to come.

During his time as a leader, Oli has not only helped the army reach greater heights but has also made sure that the Agents put up a strong front when they were declared war on. We wish Oli and the Special Weapons and Tactics, the very best in all of their future endeavors, and hope to see Oli as a Leader again in the near future!
