Sub Zero – Ice Warriors Empire: On the 9th of October, LawCorazon stepped down from her position of leadership in Ice Warriors. What was the cause behind this decision of hers? What will this hold for the future of the army?
The Ice Warriors are one of the most renowned and influential armies in the history of CPA. They were created in June of 2007 by Iceyfeet1234. In their 14 years of existence, the army has maxed impressive sizes and fought many wars over the years. They have consistently been one of the largest and powerful armies in the community, and have also secured 1st place in Top Tens numerous times. They were one of the first Club Penguin armies to have been formed, and are to this day, one of the most successful and legendary armies to exist.
Ice Warriors celebrating their 14th anniversary
LawCorazon joined the army community in early 2020, by being enlisted into Doritos before she came across Ice Warriors. She eventually climbed up the ranks in Ice Warriors, to receive the role of Staff in early May, followed by the role of Higher Command by the end of the month. She then received the rank of Leader in Training in late June, before joining the army’s leadership on the 30th of December. After having led the army for almost 10 months, she decided to step down from her position, and will now continue to be a part of the army, as their Advisor.
On the occasion of her retirement, the Ice Warriors had a battle with their allies, the Rebel Penguin Federation, and a total of 64 penguins showed up to say their goodbyes to her. Kally, one of the leaders of the army wrote a farewell post for LawCorazon, where she not only mentioned Law’s history in the army community but also added messages from people who have known Law, and some memories that the army will remember Law by.
Law’s last event as a Leader of Ice Warriors
After the event got over, many people stuck around to bid farewell to Law’s leadership, and here is what she had to say to not only the Ice Warriors but the whole army community at large.
CPAHQ had the opportunity to speak with LawCorazon about her thoughts on retiring, and what she plans to do next.
Why are you retiring?
It’s basically because of real-life getting really busy. I will have classes and work and I can’t guarantee which events I could even attend. It wouldn’t be fair to be a leader that can’t lead.
What kind of an impact do you think your retirement will have on the army at large?
I hope the army will stay as strong and kind as ik it is and it can be. Me leaving could make some people sad, but I’ll still be around in the server. I think the army will be just fine, as it has other amazing leaders, staff and troops that will keep it going.
Do you think you were able to execute all that you had planned for the army, during your time?
Yeah I am glad to have lead it and wouldn’t change anything about it.
What would you say has been the best thing about being a leader?
Hmm, it would definitely be connecting with more people and making decisions that could help the army grow and get closer.
Could you share your favorite memory or memories of the army with me, if it’s not too personal?
My favorite memory from when I was a leader is definitely this year’s march madness. That was super fun to be part of.
Do you plan to come back any time in the future?
As a leader, I don’t think so. But I won’t leave the army. I’ll still be there to hang out with people.
Before we conclude, is there anything else you would like to say, or if you would like to give any advice to the readers in general?
I would say to have fun. Life is already challenging as it is, why would there need to be hate in a virtual penguin game? Enjoy your youth and laugh. Everything will be better with time!
Although Law has retired from the leadership, she has faith that the Ice Warriors will continue to go on strong, and leave an impact on the army community, as it always has. The community will miss her dearly, given the positive influence that she has had on it, and we wish her all the best, for all her future endeavors.
