Invasion Rules
- The invading army must have at least 10 members present for UK and US invasions OR 5 members present at AUSIA invasions at any point of the invasion in order for it to be valid, including free land invasions.
- The minimum number of troops for a valid defense is 5 (AUSIA) and 10 (UK/US). If an army fails to reach this at the end of room one then the battle concludes.
- When invading another army’s server, the invading army can decide to lock it. Locking the server prevents the defending army from transferring the server. If an army hasn’t requested for the server to be locked or hasn’t include a specific term in their war declaration, the defending army will be able to transfer their server.
- The invasion of a capital server can only be scheduled once an army has no servers in their possession. After the capital invasion has been scheduled, it may proceed regardless if the army that owns it obtains more land, with the only exceptions being the surrender of the opposing army or it breaking the rules, resulting in the loss of the war.
- If the defending army does not show up, the invading army will be declared victors after they have remained online for 10 minutes.
- Armies can only schedule 3 invasions at any given time, with only 2 of these invasions being against another army.
- Armies may only schedule one freeland invasion per day.
- Any army whose nation is less than 8 servers is allowed to gain servers through non-hostile methods (freeland invasions and server transfers). Once an army has accumulated a nation more or equal to 8, they must invade via hostile methods in order to gain more land.
- An army cannot schedule multiple invasions against the same army during the same time zone. Invasions must be scheduled at least 2 hours apart.
- An army cannot be invaded multiple times within the same time zone, this would be UK, US, and AUSIA. AUSIA is 3am-9:30am EST, EU is 9:30am-5pm EST, and US is 5pm-3am EST.
- An army cannot be invaded for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) if they are participating in a tournament battle that same weekend.
- Opposing army leaders must be informed of the invasion with a ping in the invasion scheduling channel right after it has been posted.
- Armies must use CPA Battleground.
Server Ownership
Armies will be given the option of renaming their servers, as long as the names are appropriate. The administration has the power to refuse any names that they deem silly or inappropriate.
- An army must not request for a name change of a server if another army had scheduled an invasion on it. As long as no invasions are scheduled, the armies are free to rename their servers as they wish.
- Armies will also have the ability to change the server name immediately after a successful free land invasion.
- The server limit for any given army is half of the servers + 1.
Judging Rules
Club Penguin Armies are partnered with CP Army Judges, the independent organization for judging within the army community.
- The invading army must request judges in the appropriate CPAJ channel at least 24 hours before a battle and get confirmation from the required number of judges at least 30 minutes before the start of a battle. Failure to do this will render the invasion invalid
- Ideally, land invasions against another army need a minimum of 3 judges.
- Invasion of free land requires just 1 judge.
- Armies may decline up to 2 judges per battle. No rejections can be made an hour before the battle begins unless there is a confirmed affiliation of one of the judges.
- A tier system regarding the number of overtime rooms will exist. 2 for capital invasions and tournament finals. 1 for invasions and tournament battles. And practice battles will be up to the individual armies involved. In the case that a tie occurs, the defending army will keep their territory.
- In the case of an insufficient number of judges, Head Judges can fill in as judges and are not allowed to be rejected (except if they are directly affiliated with one of the armies battling).
- If a war battle has no judges, and the opposing army are not planning to attend, judges that are affiliated to allies in the war can judge, as long as they do not attend the pre-battle room nor the battle itself. They can also judge if it is clear that one army in the battle will not achieve the battle requirements.
- If a battle has no judges, then the participating army can record the battle, and forward the video to the Head judges, proving that they reached the required max to make the battle valid. This can also happen in a battle to show if an army does not have the max to make the battle valid.
Discord Rules
The format for declaring an invasion in #invasion-scheduling, must follow the layout below:
Army Name: Army A vs Army B (Only Army A if the invasion is for freeland).
Invasion of Server: Frostbite
Date and Time: Tuesday 30th November 3PM EST
Ping the army leaders of the defending army, OR Unclaimed Land
- You must give at least 24 hours’ notice for an invasion, and cannot schedule more than a week in advance.
- You must request judges at least 24 hours before the invasion.
- All valid invasions will be posted in #upcoming-invasions and will list the judges assigned prior to the start of the battle.
- All server transfers must be stated clearly in #server-transfers, and only become valid once the receiving army has accepted. (Subjective to war terms).
General Battle Terms
All invasions will be required to follow the general battle terms. If any army is found to be in violation of these terms then they will be subjected to penalties, based on the severity of the violation.
The General Battle Terms are as follows:
- No multi-logging, botting or any other means of any unfair increase of an army’s size
- No blackmailing
- No doxing in any form or DDoSing
- No server bot raids.
- Do not report other people’s accounts in-game to stop them from attending battles, unless a rule is broken.
- No toxic tactics (attacking someone’s race, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, etc.)
- The ‘no transfers’ (including releasing servers as free land) term can’t be denied. It locks any land that the armies own and prohibits transfers.
Terms and Treaties
A war must include a legitimate declaration outlining the terms, and at least one invasion carried out (this includes if one side no-shows). The final decision will be up to the judgement of the administration.
The invading army can set the terms for the invasion/war.
- Terms such as ‘invasions are only allowed during certain times’, ‘no big word bubbles allowed’ or concerning specific behaviors that would result in an automatic loss will be invalid. Please do not state any ‘funny’ terms.
- 1v1 wars being allowed as a war term, preventing outside declaration or intervention in the conflict. This rule only applies if the wars take place in Club Penguin Armies organization and will not influence the old-style wars.
- An army can’t put a term forbidding their opponents from invading freeland. It is allowed to acquire 3 freeland servers during a war.
Once an army loses their capital, they will be forced to sign a force treaty, which cannot last longer than 6 weeks. 6 weeks is also the maximum length that a force treaty can prevent conflict between two armies.
When making a force treaty, armies are not allowed to force things such as:
- Merges/ colonization.
- Leadership, web or server changes, including pinging publicly with any announcements.
- Denying armies from invading allies, unless it is an alliance war.
