History
The Army of Club Penguin is a very historic army with a great legacy behind it. As one of the oldest and longest-standing armies in all of army history, the army has been through it all. Founded by Oagalthorp on September 29, 2006, the ACP creator is widely regarded as the pioneer and father of armies. With this, the Clovers have a nicely respected name around the community. From its inception, the army has produced a wide range of legends throughout time. Not only that, but they have produced a great formula that has allowed them to remain successful even until today. There aren’t many armies that last as long as the ACP has, and it shows they have their operations down pat.

With long-lasting momentum, this means the advisory and leadership team must be in unison and function with harmony. No army can succeed for a long time without these factors, as turmoil in the command team can stagnate the army. Should this stagnation be allowed to linger, the army tends to depreciate. ACP has steered very clear of these common army roadblocks, and it shows. It is easy to say that this is due to strong leadership, but the advisors have a giant role to play in this as well. With heavy behind-the-scenes work, it is easy to miss the efforts that some of them make.
With such an important role, Cubster has been working hard to uplift ACP and fulfil his duties. As a previous leader, he provides much experience and guidance to the team. As a member of the ACP Hall of Fame, he is an undeniable figure within ACP. Collectively, the army absolutely shows no sign of slowing down either. Recently, ACP boasted a dominant victory at the famed March Madness XI, showcasing a full winning stride the entire tournament. The ACP seem untouchable right now, and their preparations are surely something to learn from.
INTERVIEW
Wanting to learn more from Cubster, Club Penguin Armies reached out to him with an exclusive interview.
How did you first get into Club Penguin Armies? What has the journey been like so far?
I was recruited by ACP in late 2013 when they did a recruiting session on CP. Spent a few months in ACP and started army hopping for the rest of 2014, eventually leaving the community in early 2015.
I came back pre-Covid, but already had a CPO account since early 2018, to see the army community still alive and thriving. Reunited with old friends and joined the Mayhem and Doritos but later leaving for ACP to fulfil my promise of ending armies at the army I started in.
At ACP I climbed my way to leader from member rank, won wars, won a trophy, placed 1st in the top ten when armies were maxing 80-100 easy. But most importantly, i’ve made good friends with people I met online that I still talk to today and got through the pandemic without feeling “lonely”. Funnily enough, recruiting my ass off for ACP helped to be successful at my current job/industry where i recruit students.
Do you have any current goals/ambitions in the army community?
No more ambitions, my only goal now is to have fun, to catch up with friends, and supporting ACP to whatever goals we have in mind.
When you became an advisor for ACP, did anything impress or disappoint you?
I’m really proud of what the current team at ACP is doing. They really built a community where people call “home”, and I can’t wait for what the future holds.
Right now, where do you think the Army of Club Penguin stand within CPA? Do you believe you guys are on track for any internal ACP goals?
We’ve been going crazy with recruiting, and our current recruits have a good retention rate. Just wait and see😁🙌
Lastly, do you have any advice you’d like to give to any aspiring troops or leaders?
Have fun, be bold, and believe in the decisions you make.
As Cubster and the Army of Club Penguin exit March Madness with major success, the team of advisors and leaders seem to be on top of their game. ACP continues to further their legacy forward and show that even after all these years, the Clovers are going nowhere. Will ACP continue their success in the next major tournament? Do you have anything you’d like to ask Cubster?
