March Madness XI: Final Four

This week, there were three Quarter-Finals battles in the March Madness XI. It is now time to look at their results and afterwards view the Semi-Finals details and timings, which are set to happen next weekend, as the tournament moves on with the four remaining armies.

Quarter Finals Recap

Throughout the weekend, we witnessed four battles. On Saturday, we saw the first two battles taking place. The round began with the Templars facing the Help Force. This was a very anticipated battle, as the Templars have been a rising power ever since they became a major once more, while HF has been a consistent major army. TCP managed to win, winning 2 rooms, with HF winning the other. The sizes were similar, with both armies having a bit less than 50 troops online usually, and with HF having slightly more. Despite that, TCP managed to perform better and win. The second battle that was scheduled included the Aliens and the Water VikingsHowever, the Aliens chose to drop out of the tournament, which automatically gave WV the win.

On Sunday, there were 2 more battles scheduled. In the first one, the Rebel Penguin Federation faced the Shadow Legionaries. RPF managed to have an over 50 size advantage in the battle, with SL logging off after room 1 was over, thus giving them the win. The second battle included the newly major Dark Warriors, and the top army in the Top Ten for this week, the Army of Club Penguin. ACP managed to have much larger sizes than DW, which helped it much to defeat its opponent. It won all three rooms.

Quarter Finals Timings

On Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, four armies, the final four, will battle for a spot in the final round of the tournament, the Grand Finals. It should be noted that the 2 losing armies of the Semi-Finals will face each other in a battle for the 3rd place trophy. The four armies that passed through the Quarter Finals are: the Water Vikings, Rebel Penguin Federation, the Army of Club Penguin, and the Templars. The battles are expected to be very heated this weekend, with all the remaining armies now major armies. On Saturday, RPF will face WV, while on Sunday, TCP will face ACP. The timings can be seen below.

Small Medium Trophy

Since the Shadow Legionaries were the only Small-Medium army to pass the Qualifiers and reach the Quarter Finals, they will be awarded the Small-Medium March Madness XI trophy. The trophy will be given to them at the same time as the Major trophies, first, second, and third place, after the tournament has concluded, in a large ceremony, in which the entire community will be invited. Congrats to the SL for their win.

We are excited to see how the Semi Finals will unfold next weekend. Congratulations to all the armies that advanced to the next round, and great job to all the others who participated. May the luckiest and best of you proceed to the Grand Finals. We would also like to thank the judges in the Club Penguin Army Judges for ensuring that all battles have correct verdicts, and the CPA: Battleground team for providing a safe CPPS that allows the tournament to be hosted. What did you think of the Quarter Finals round? Did you expect these results? Which armies will advance to the Grand Finals and which ones will battle for the 3rd place?
