The Cryo Vanguards end their generation after merging into an army that has not been around in a while. Let us explore the events that led to this merger and learn more about the possible future revival.

On March 11, the Cryo Vanguards announced a merger with the Dark Pirates of Club Penguin. The Dark Pirates is an army expected to reopen on March 21 at their Order of Revival event. This development comes soon after the Vanguards sent support to the Phantom Republic of Club Penguin in their war against the Teutons, and also after the Romans declared war against the army. Moreover, the new generation of the Dark Pirates would be led by Cyber and Siri. It appears that Dark Pirates founder Ninja Leader will be solely advising the returning army.
Cryo Vanguards’ declaration of the merger by Dorx
In his announcement, CV leader Dorx spontaneously declared the merger. In addition, CV leader Kento also added confidently that the army would make a return in the future. The Cryo Vanguards launched their first generation in February 2026 and are now closing with less than a month of longevity. The army was originally founded by Dorx himself. In its short lifespan, the army faced the Romans in war, to which they surrendered, citing size disadvantages. Soon after, the Cryo Vanguards had also declared an alliance with the Special Weapons and Tactics, which later shut.

What led to the merger of the Cryo Vanguards?
Dorx: I wanted to merge because Dark Pirates is the first army that recruited me. Also, I felt CV going down a little bit, so I declared a merger.
Do you feel that the Cryo Vanguards could continue to thrive without the merger?
Dorx: Yes, I do, but only if we work hard on Cryo Vanguards.
Will the Cryo Vanguards be expecting a return in the future?
Dorx: Yes, we are, especially because kento wants to unmerge as soon as possible.
Furthermore, the potential reopening of the Dark Pirates is awaiting anticipation across the army community. The Dark Pirates went on a “temporary hiatus”, but they never made a return until now. In a week, the Dark Pirates will host their grand reopening event, which is expected to attract a strong attendance from former army members and other onlookers from the army community. Additionally, the Dark Pirates are hosting on the same Discord server they have used in their previous generation.

This will be the Dark Pirates’ third generation, for which they have set 9 goals to accomplish. Among these goals are reaching a member count of 1,000, succeeding across all time zones, and creating “a healthy and welcoming environment for all people.” Moreover, the Dark Pirates have introduced 15 additions to their staff team yet, before the revival event.

It is worth noting that this generation of the Dark Pirates has been authorized by DP founder Ninja Leader and the army’s Legends Department.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to DP leader Cyber to learn more about the potential reopening. However, he plans on completing the interview after the reopening event.
With one army less, the Small/Medium army community might appear slightly less interactive. However, the Dark Pirates will also be reappearing next week, potentially hinting at new diplomatic shifts across Club Penguin Armies. Do you feel that the Cryo Vanguards should have merged?
