Recently, the Dark Warriors have seen a familiar figure, Holo, return to leadership. Let us examine what led up to this, and what this means for the warriors.

The Dark Warriors have had an incredibly active year since their reopening in July 2025. From taking home the trophy in various Small/Medium tournaments such as Summer Blitz and October Horrors to beginning new alliances with the Aliens and the Templars, it’d be an understatement to say that DW has had a great start to the year. With them reaching the quarter-finals of the March Madness XI tournament, the DW seems to be continuing its dominant streak. Last week, DW officially became a major army. Following this, leadership announced that former leader Holo would return to lead once more.

Holos Initial Leadership

Holo is no stranger to the community, having been around as early as 2010 and having modern history in armies such as the Special Weapons and Tactics. When DW revived in 2025, Holo, alongside Subzero and Coolguy, served as the new generation’s leader. He, alongside them, helped shape the army early on, ushering in the new era. Despite his brief time in the spotlight, his influence was clear.

On August 9, 2025, Holo officially announced his departure from DW leadership, citing a lack of time to fulfill the needs of the position. Following this, Salah and Midnight were inducted into the position of leader, joining Subzero, Justin, and Coolguy.

On March 1, 2026, leadership announced that Holo would be returning to his position, citing having the free time to once more aid DW. With Holo’s return, DW may rise to heights not seen before in this generation as they continue to forge new beginnings.

What inspired you to rejoin DW leadership?

A key reason behind my return to leadership is I felt as though I still have something to offer to the growth of the army, wether that be through Leadership experince, or providing my skills and abilites in other aspects of the Army, and its community and due to the unforeseen circumstances surrounding my health at the time, my retirement was rather abrupt, instead of a farewell to what shaped my childhood online experience, and it wasnt quite right to see it go in such capacity.

What do you hope to achieve in your second run as leader?

The inevitable goal is to see the continued growth and expansion within the Dark Warriors, to continue creating and building on a wonderful, enjoyable, safe and inclusive community for many many more generations of people to enjoy.

With you now at the helm, what can we expect to see from DW?

Business as usual, the Army has done, and will continue to strive with, or without my intervention, and the team that has made the Dark Warriors the special place it is, did so without my help, so the goal is to follow their plan, and to complete business as usual, the job is never done, and it’s an honour to be welcomed into it fold with such trust in seeing their visions come to life and I aim to stay true to that goal and assist them in any way I can!

I want to express my gratitude to those that have supported and helped the Dark Warriors to make a return to this community, I am forever grateful to have been able to relive an experience that shaped my entire online life when I was young!

Holos’ return marks a new beginning for Dark Warriors, as we can expect to see the army continue to grow. As the army advances in MMXI, only time will tell if the army will continue to grow under the watch of a familiar figure. What do you think?
