Club Penguin Armies Introduces New Server Map

After months of anticipation, the best server map the community has ever seen is finally here. Following a successful community beta test, we are proud to bring the army community a brand-new warfare experience.

Designed by Wynn

Following the conclusion of the Mapping the Map Summit last year, the Club Penguin Armies Administration released an announcement covering all the updated map rules and guidelines. Alongside these, we presented to the army community a dream that was in our hearts: to develop the best server map EVER seen in the history of CPA. Thus, we meticulously assembled a team of developers to work on the server map coding and design.

This map is the result of months of discussion, experimentation, and refinement. Every element, from layout and balance to visual usability, was carefully designed with one goal in mind: to elevate competitive warfare while remaining intuitive and engaging for all armies. This is a complete reimagining of what a server map can be.

With gratitude, this Administration had the pleasure to work with some talented individuals, who were key-members in the task-force built to work on this brand new server map. Their commitment, creativity, and attention to detail were instrumental in shaping a map that we believe sets a new standard for the community. We would like to formally recognize and thank the talented individuals who played key roles in the development of this project: Df44, responsible for coding the map, making the UI, and developing GaryBot, the newest CPA bot which automates map commands, Dino, responsible for the map design, and Lort533, who is assisting CPA in a map-related project with CPA: Battleground, which is to be revealed soon.

Below, some words from our main developers, Df44 and Dino.

Df44, CPA Developer: The release of Club Penguin Armies: The Map paves the way for a new era of CPA warfare. Built upon the community demands from the Map Summit, this project involved the complex challenge of creating a seamless map interface and a dedicated Discord bot to manage all functionalities, all while keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.

My goal was to create a visual depiction of these mechanics that is immersive for every user. The introduction of the server map directly into the CPAB server selection will hopefully change the game, reintroducing vital army features like patrolling. As we witnessed during Operation: Winterstorm, players can now experience a faster, modernized, and more competitive map.

I want to thank Dino for the beautiful map design, Jojo and Edu for bringing me back and believing this project was viable, Lort for his help implementing this vision into the game, and of course, Super for all the help and encouragement. I hope you all enjoy this new map as much as I do.

Dino, CPA Developer, Top Ten Manager, and Graphic Designer: I think the map is a set in the right direction and is exactly how me and Df wanted the map originally in January 2024 with all of the reforms. It’s far more cleaner now (not gappy anymore or low opacity overlaps), the UI is more in line with the original maps of OG, and has the ability to swap between different maps—basically making it so if we do the Conquest continent again or expand the map with innovative continents (such as renamable servers) it won’t be a cluster you know. It was a pain to design (bc I was busy with college) but once Df got on board to help cover the coding for me I cranked out the map and it came out very well. And obviously, this is only the start. We intend to improve the map further in the wake of the competition’s map. Our map is far cleaner, better UI, and more useful information. I hope this really encourages strategic fighting now, and again hopefully we can continue to innovate the map further to the Army Board with our ideas!

A major milestone in the development of this new server map was the recent community beta test held during Operation: Winter Storm. This successful operation counted with 200+ participants enlisted in four different color-themed teams, fighting for land in almost 40 invasions scheduled across last week. In the end, the Green Team emerged victorious, with 16 servers in total. While the operation was in course, the developer team worked on many updates on GaryBOT and introduced changes to improve its performance. Undoubtedly, a complete success. Win after win!

Introducing GaryBOT

The team leaders who participated in Operation: Winter Storm were also the first to meet Club Penguin Armies’ newest ally: GaryBOT!

Designed to streamline and modernize the server map experience, GaryBOT automates a wide range of essential map-related commands that previously required manual handling. Through simple interactions, army leaders can now schedule invasions, access the map shop, check currency balances and statistics, deploy mobility units, and receive instant map updates, all in a matter of seconds.

GaryBOT in action

By automating these processes, GaryBOT significantly reduces administrative overhead. Actions that once took time, coordination, and manual verification are now swiftly handled, allowing leaders to focus more on strategy and gameplay rather than logistics. At the same time, the Administration benefits from a more organized, transparent, and responsive system for managing the map.

Here is a quick list of commands:

/balance: Check an army’s balance
/buy: Purchase military equipment manually
/dump_coast: View all coastal servers
/help: Show the command manual
/inventory: Check army supplies
/map: Get a live preview of the full map interface
/schedule_invasion: Leader schedules an invasion against an army or free land
/serverlb: Displays the current server leaderboard
/shop: View items available for purchase
/use: Deploy items (Planes/Ships/Bombs/Nukes/Intel)
/wealth: View wealthiest armies

Each army will have its own thread, with army leaders and CPA Administrators, below #invasions-scheduling to run their desired map commands and ask questions freely.

Official Launch Date

With the beta test now officially concluded, the server map is ready to be fully launched to the community. After months of development, testing, and refinement, we are proud to move into the next phase of this project and open the map to active competitive play.

Last week, we successfully hosted a Capital Draft with the Army Board, marking a major step toward full implementation. The response was outstanding: 17 armies have officially joined the map, an incredible turnout that reflects both the strength of the community and the enthusiasm surrounding this new era of warfare.

As we close this announcement, we would like to extend our sincere thanks once again to Dino, Df and Lort. Their dedication, insight, and commitment were instrumental throughout this process, and their contributions played a key role in making this project possible. At the heart of everything we do is the community. Every decision and every innovation is guided by our commitment to work for the armies and to deliver the very best experience possible. This server map represents a shared vision for the future of CPA.

Thank you for being part of this journey. And remember: the best is yet to come!
