Welcome to the twentieth edition of Leaving a Legacy. In this column, we honour the Legends that made their way into the CPA Hall of Fame. For this edition, we will take a step back in history with Ambrosha and Dark Warriors.

Ambrosha started his journey in 2006 as a troop in Ice Warriors. During his days in IW, he reached the rank of Second-in-Command before leaving to create Dark Warriors around September 2007. On October 21, 2007, Dark Warriors had a solid base with the help of their allies that would welcome many generations.
After the creation of the Dark Warriors, the army became a powerful community. Their first battle under Ambrosha’s leadership was against Ice Warriors in 2007. After DW’s victory, an alliance between the armies was made. During his time as the leader of the army, Dark Warriors merged with Ice Warriors, Fire Warriors, Aqua Warriors, Gold Warriors, and Romans, becoming The Warrior Army, which lasted until 2009. During this period, the new army fought one of its largest battles against the Army of Club Penguin.

And now?
Ambrosha took his bow in 2009, leaving his CPA days behind him and leaving his creation in the hands of the new generation of Dark Warriors. In July 2025, he gave his approval to the new vision of Dark Warriors and for the revival of the army he created eighteen years ago. Following the revival, they celebrated their eighteenth anniversary on October 21, 2025. Recently, crowned champions of the October Horrors for the Small/Medium division, Dark Warriors seem to keep going strong and making new history and making others happy, like he wanted.

Ambrosha’s approval regarding the revival of DW in 2025
Club Penguin Armies has the chance to interview the founder of Dark Warriors, Ambrosha.
What does Dark Warriors mean to you?
DW to me means childhood, togetherness, family, memories in a younger time of my life. The countless hours spent trying to build the DW name with so many friends. Those are memories I will cherish to the grave. Then to see the DW name & community bring joy to others throughout the years is tremendous. That was the ultimate goal. Its always nice to be the #1 army for a time period etc, but in the end you really just want to be apart of a community that brings you joy. I think its safe to say that DW has accomplished that goal!
Is it true that you dragged your son into DW? What is the plan behind this?
haha yes let me start by saying I have 2 sons. Oldest name is Junior and he is 9 years old. My youngest is Noah and he is 5 years old. I’ve showed them both club penguin and some history of dark warriors. I did bring junior into the DW discord and he attended 1-2 events. Really there was no “plan” behind this. Just trying to spread the joy/fun with my boys, that I got to enjoy around their ages. That being said it will ultimately be up to them if they ever want to put the time in and go up in ranks in DWs future or if maybe club penguin as a whole just isnt for them.
What is one of your favourite moments in the army community?
oh man lots of moments. Truthfully, it might of been Dark Warriors first ever official battle. Long story short at the very very beginning we want at it with iceyfeet’s IW. I still remember to this day being on ice berg DW vs IW, with DW coming out on top. I feel like that first battle win in 2007 vs IW who was a hot on the rise army really kind of kick started DW into the community. Also built a brotherly alliance with IW that would last basically forever. If IW was still in the community today I think its safe to say it would be no different then brother allies. So in the end that first battle vs IW really set a basis for what DW was going to become forever.
Is there something that you would have done differently?
yes, I would of made sure to preserve DW history better. Back in 2007-2009 in my younger years i was leading in the “now” focused on building DW for future generations. It never really crossed my mind how DWs OG legacy 15+ years later would have been altered or changed based on certain individuals. For example some people think elite created DW, when in reality he was my first ever recruit. There was also a time around the 2012 golden DW era that people though I couped Unk etc when in reality it was someone using my name. There is a lot of gaps in DW history dating from 2007-2012ish that I wish I would have recorded to a better degree. That being said I still cant argue with DW results being able to last for 15+ years and continue to bring joy to others. That was the ultimate goal in the end and in that regard I feel like the main mission has been accomplished
What is something you would say to someone who would like to become a leader of an army or even create their own army?
ill speak more on the creator of an army side. Truthfully leadership as a whole is WAY different then it was in the 2007-2009 prehistoric era I led in. When it comes to creating a brand new army and making it grow. In my opinion it takes two important things. 1. You need to be willing to put the time AND effort in. I know that sounds very obvious but when I say time & effort I mean it almost needs to consume your free time. The more time & effort put in the more benefits & growth you will see. When I first created DW in 2007 and I was completely alone. I put in long hourless nights of recruiting, meeting other armies, spreading the DW name, building the base of DW. No different then anything in life. You will get back as much as you put in. 2. You need a trusted base of staff. Once you begin bringing in those recruits you need higher ranking individuals that will represent your army how you see fit. They need to be 100% trustworthy and ideally wanting them to put the same time & effort in as you do. Having a “crew” is essential for long term success. DW is no different. Without the high ranking friends that took over DW after I retired then there is a good chance DW might not exist today. It is a pattern right? My high ranking original members kept dw going –> they retire and their high ranking takes over. That continues on in the army building what you created. That being said i want to thank EVERY member of DW throughout the years. DW is what it is today thanks to the efforts of every single one of you.
Do you think there’s something you would’ve wanted to achieve and you couldn’t?
hm honestly nothing really comes to my mind. My leadership in 2007-2009, creating DW, Leading DW, Leading Golds, Leading IW, creating the first large alliance in TWA(the warriors army). Then ending my CP army career as CP army legends, DW Creator/Legend, Golds Legend, and IW legend. Then to see DW continue on for this long bringing joy to at this point THOUSANDS of others. I feel like the original goal of a long lasting staple in the CP army community to bring joy to others was absolutely hit and crushed. Truthfully, without the efforts of every1 I met throughout the years. I wouldnt be what I am today as an individual. I have such a LONG list of people that helped me on the way that in my eyes are CP legends themselves. Majority of them are probably in their 30s like me and not around anymore unfortunately. Thank you to everyone, in DW past/present/future, in IW, in Golds, and many many others i had the pleasure to cross paths with throughout the years.
Ambrosha has an interesting journey, leading Ice Warriors, Golds, Dark Warriors, The Warriors Army, and he has his creation still growing with a revival in 2025. His old days might be in the past, but the glory of Dark Warriors continues. What do you think will happen to Dark Warriors in the future? Will his legacy still go strong?
