‘What If’ is a space for curiosity without fear and imagination without apology. Doritos of Club Penguin has undoubtedly had their ups and downs, but we ask ourselves: What if they were never compelled into a forced treaty by Army of Club Penguin? The community is left pondering as they question Doritos of Club Penguin’s existence after the force treaty.

Crunchy(?) Downfall of Doritos
The Doritos of Club Penguin officially began under the same leadership that allowed the Secret Service to initiate. DCP managed to garner over 70 penguins at their revival event. While this first event seemed promising, and many other events, things took a sharp turn on January 11, when DCP first declared war on the Army of Club Penguin. This declaration was nullified due to ACP’s dismissal, as they stated that DCP needed to gain land, referencing a on-map war.
On February 17, DCP had suffered a major force treaty created by the Army of Club Penguin, with whom they had been engaged in war. This war ended with one of the DCP troops having spread an ACP troop’s face without their consent. This violated a war term and CPA’s rules on doxxing, resulting in severe punishment. Furthermore, this would only be the beginning of DCP’s issues, as they continued to make questionable decisions that would not fare well for them.

DCP management of situations
Only a few hours had passed after the situation, Club Penguin Armies released a statement regarding the inappropriate actions of the army. Following the force treaty, a Doritos legend and veteran, 32op, fabricated screenshots to frame Mare of doxing. The Doritos blatantly tried to manipulate the Administration into hiding it under the carpet. DCP, facing multiple controversies, had crumbled internally as staff members started leaving, such as Kira, Logical, and Megha. Rather than facing its problems with improvement of the army, their approach was set on ridiculing their ex-staff and other armies, which was one reason that led to their downfall. With unacceptance to take responsibilities of doxing, they have continuously been involved in war controversies despite being warned against violating war rules.

DCP announcing their shut down
What would Doritos look like today
Long Term
In the long term, DCP’s survival would depend on consistent leadership committed to growth rather than legacy or reputation management. A strong and active HCOM would need to focus on training, discipline, and positive community engagement to reshape public perception. Establishing an internal culture centred on professionalism would be necessary to distance the army from its past. Over time, DCP could re-enter competitive wars once trust is restored and stability is proven. Only through sustained improvement could Doritos reclaim its status within the Club Penguin Armies community.

Short Term
In the short term, DCP would need to restructure its leadership and establish a new management team. DCP should focus on repairing relations with the community by publicly acknowledging previous violations and committing to CPA rules. DCP would also need to step away from the unnecessary wars and conflicts to allow stability and trust to rebuild internally. Recruitment efforts should prioritise quality over quantity, ensuring new members understand expectations and regulations. Transparency and accountability from both troops and staff would undoubtedly be essential to prevent repeated mistakes.

Coolguy announcing DCP status update
After ACP enforced the force treaty and DCP continued its endless quarrels, the community wasn’t surprised by the shutdown. The broken sense of community in DCP led to a breakdown in leadership. It is questionable if DCP will come back, and if they do bring the army back, it might be completely different. For now, the Doritos have met their end as the controversy and the force treaty only seemed to do great damage. We have seen armies return out of nowhere despite the controversies, and maybe Doritos will come back with a bang. What do you think would happen if DCP didn’t get force-treatied? Would they be able to come back to the army scene, or will they return to be a gaming server?
