A new year is finally ahead of us, as everyone prepares to face the unknown. However, today we take a moment to revisit 2025 and celebrate those who made a mark in it. The Club Penguin Armies administration is proud to officially announce the Person of the Year 2025.

Foreword:
Essentially, the importance of the Person of the Year award lies in its purpose. Recognizing individuals not by how they are perceived, but by the impact they have made. Whether viewed as controversial figures or celebrated protagonists, what matters is influence. This award honors those prominent individuals who rose beyond the role of a typical community member. They shaped moments, drove change, and left behind a legacy that will be remembered.
2025 was a uniquely defining year for the army community. While many have labeled it a stale period due to the relative lack of large-scale warfare, that perception only tells part of the story. In reality, 2025 marked an unexpected resurgence of activity and growth across the community. A total of 56 armies were active throughout the year, major armies reached sizes not seen since 2021, and the S/M community experienced a level of vitality and competitiveness long thought lost.
This quieter era of conflict allowed armies to focus on rebuilding, organization, and identity, fostering stability rather than constant wars. While this Administration has its own criticism towards this isolationism, it is undeniable that, as a result, new leaders emerged, fresh-new armies flourished, and long-term expansion in armies finally had the space to thrive. Inevitably, this surge of activity gave rise to new faces. Individuals who defined the year, carving out legacies that will be remembered well beyond 2025.
As is tradition, before unveiling the plaques for the runner-ups and the winner, we would like to take a moment to honor those who deserve special recognition for making this year extraordinary and leaving a lasting impact on the community. Congratulations to the Honorable Mentions, including Echo, Justin (formerly Kyle104), and Ugly, for their contributions in the Small/Medium scene in 2025, with TCP, DW, and VT, respectively. Honorable Mentions also go to Edu14463 & Jojo Teri for their continuous dedication to the Administration in creating a prosperous army community and consistently pushing for innovation.
As always, we would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Dino for creating the stunning Person of the Year graphics. Dino’s dedication and effort in crafting these beautiful designs are truly appreciated.
Now, without further ado, we present to you the Club Penguin Armies 2025 Person of the Year.
The runner-ups have been ordered alphabetically.
Bestpenguin: Runner-up
The Major Invader

BestPenguin has been the main leader of his army, the Aliens, throughout the whole year. He is also the one who brought the army back in 2024 and built it from scratch. Under his leadership in 2025, the Aliens achieved several feats and influenced the community largely. The army became one of the first armies to largely use CPPSes other than CPA: Battleground. They became popular for having “rogue” events and were famous in the Club Penguin Journey community. Many people there knew them as “the green army”, with their influence being so extensive that it infuriated the other green army that used CPJ, the Army of Club Penguin. This caused the two armies to enter a war with each other, with ACP declaring war on Aliens, labeled as Operation 51. The Aliens won battle after battle ending up winning the war with 16 wins, 1 tie, and 0 losses.
Tournament wise the army has also been doing very well, after March Madness X. In the Around the World Cup II tournament, they managed to reach the finals, where they faced the Army of Club Penguin, defeating them and winning the trophy. In the Legends Cup XV, they reached the finals once again, defeating the Void Troops and Help Force before. They lost in the finals against the Rebel Penguin Federation. Then, in the major division of the October Horrors tournament, they tied with ACP in the Semi Finals. In the three way finals between the Water Vikings, ACP, and them, they managed to overcome the other two armies and win the trophy. They also won the Super Cup against the Dark Warriors. Last of all, in the Christmas Chaos XV, the Aliens performed well once again, defeating the Templars and WV, managing to reach the finals once again. It seems like the Aliens are the 2nd best performing army when it comes to tournaments in 2025, behind RPF.
While the Aliens did not participate in many wars, they still showed their strength in battles both in tournaments and in practice battles. It is an army that has significantly affected the community landscape of 2025, under BP’s leadership. Aside from his accomplishments with his army, BP also managed to get promoted in Club Penguin Armies and become a Head Moderator in May. Ever since, he has successfully dealt with several cases that needed his attention, hired new mods, updated the guidelines, and kept the community safe for all its members.

Daniel20448: Runner-up
Puro Aventurero

From his initial enlistment as a Golds troop, to his position at the head of one of the oldest armies in the community, Daniel20448’s army career has been marked by long-term involvement and consistent service.
Following a short stint in Golds, Daniel became one of the original members of the Silver Empire, rising to Second-in-Command and helping lay the foundation for what would become a prominent force in the community. In June 2020, he brought this experience to the Army of Club Penguin, where between then and his retirement in August 2021, he was regularly involved in higher command and leadership operations during one of the army’s most competitive eras. As a result, he earned both the Bronze Medal Award and the Medal of Training.
Though he stepped away in August 2021, Daniel’s story was far from finished, as he returned to the Army of Club Penguin toward the end of 2024 as a second-in-command. During the closing months of the year and the leadership transition following Ugly’s retirement in December 2024, he steadily expanded his responsibilities, becoming increasingly involved across the army heading into 2025. As 2025 kicked off, Daniel played a significant role in revitalizing both the US division of ACP and the Legion Española. Originally established by Daniel himself in 2020 to serve Spanish-speaking members of the community, Legion Española later grew into a consistently active division, helping broaden ACP’s international reach by providing a structured space for Spanish-speaking recruits to participate and advance within the army. Alongside this, his work in recruiting and hosting events contributed to renewed activity across multiple time zones, reinforcing ACP’s overall operational depth.
In March this year, Daniel rose to the highest office, becoming the 53rd Leader of the Army of Club Penguin. In his 10 months of leadership, Daniel has helped propel ACP past unexpected milestones and continues to push the army to excel even more, both internally and externally. It was under this renewed leadership that ACP re-entered one of its most impactful eras. By fully committing to recruitment through Club Penguin private servers, he played a central role in making the army more accessible to new recruits, resulting in consistent activity growth and recurring placements near the top of the Top Ten, culminating in a second-place finish in the Top Ten of the Year.
Moreover, Daniel’s leadership in 2025 saw its most tangible payoff with a decisive victory at the Club Penguin Armies Summer Olympics, while also positioning ACP as one of the only major armies to launch multiple offensive wars throughout the year. Beyond the battlefield, Daniel was an active participant in broader community discussions, helping shape the upcoming 2026 map and playing a significant role in broader community decisions. Under his command, ACP maintained a visible presence within the community, hosting inter-army events and being involved in all major developments of the year. Last but not least, Daniel’s presence was also significant during the map reforms and discussions throughout the year. His proposal inspired the creation of the new server map that Club Penguin Armies is adopting.
Overall, his journey, marked by persistence, service, and an enduring sense of responsibility to the community, stands as a testament to the quiet determination and lasting influence that define the very best leaders this community has known.

Logical: Runner-up
Voice of the Void

Logical‘s first encounter with the community began in 2022 with brief stints in the Secret Service and the Templars. He gained his first experience in leadership upon joining the Special Weapons and Tactics, where, after just four months in the army, he achieved the title of leader. In 2023, he departed SWAT and decided to forge a new name for himself. This resulted in the creation of the Penguins of Madagascar, who faced the Magma Clan in a war and teamed up with Logical’s former army, SWAT. In 2024, following the shutdown of POM, Logical rejoined the Secret Service and quickly attained the rank of leader, and eventually went on to lead the Doritos of Club Penguin following the army’s shutdown.
2025 marked a turning point for Logical. Following his departure from the Doritos, Logical opened the Void Troops in April. Very few possess the grit to open their own army, but to grow it to the heights VT reached is unfathomable to many. From starting the newly opened army with just ten max numbers to achieving major status in only two months, while consistently averaging 20–25 and peaking at #5 on the Top Ten various times, VT’s rapid growth clearly demonstrated its potential. Under Logical’s leadership, the Void Troops underwent a perfect eight-war win streak against various Small/Medium armies, most notably challenging former major army DCP and winning with a flawless 12–0 war score in the Silencing of the Mob War, as well as challenging former major allies the Templars in the Divine Reckoning War, winning with a near-perfect 15–1 war score. His willingness to continuously challenge established titans reflects a deep command of his craft.
Logical’s penchant for chaos has always been a defining aspect of his character, seen throughout his time in the community, most notably with his clashes with his former army, DCP, and various conflicts within the Void Troops, including a defacing of the army he built. This did not cause him to back down, however, but motivated him to further change the way he looked at leadership and allowed him to strengthen his approach to leadership even amid turmoil surrounding his own army.
It would be an understatement to say Logical has had an impact on the community throughout the year. Amid persistent drama and the challenge of building an army from nothing, Logical has demonstrated a level of tenacity and a dedication to S/M growth that few exhibit today, a testament to his commitment not only to armies but to leaving a lasting legacy.

Link3000: winner
The Calculated Winner

Coming off their induction to the status of CPA legend the previous year, Link3000 had incredible shoes to fill. Statistically, Link had a fair case and RPF took a massive step forward, breaking the longest tournament drought in their history since returning in 2013 and defeating the Secret Service in war, but nonetheless may people did not expect the relatively quiet Link to do this. RPF, and especially Link, were going to have to live up to the new expectations placed on them to prove that RPF was once again a powerhouse (something some have felt RPF hasn’t been since 2021).
The first chapter of this year can be written by many actors, and even this summer by others. It may be easy to suggest that other armies and people have written the story of 2025, but when we look to calculate the defining person of this year, there is only one theorem that can be calculate as true: RPF has dominated the scene. Every tournament RPF has participated in before Christmas Chaos, approximately 3, resulted in silencing RPF victories. There were some close calls along the way, because this year particularly, had many success stories, but for every close call, there was an underdog victory for RPF. RPF achieved the most first-places and the longest Top Ten first-place streak since the Templarian dynasty.
And in what was the greatest controversy all year, the Beanie Babies situation and the succeeding TWO-RPF war, Link channeled that adversary in a matter that not only thwarted TWO but saw the most success RPF has seen all year (or generally since the COVID-19 pandemic). All people could talk about for weeks and months was this controversy, how RPF handled it, and the miraculous hard work RPF has seen as if it only served to help them when it was meant to finally humble them.
Person of the Year is many things: the ability to be talked about often (whether through benevolence like Flipmoo, or infamy like Badboy or Waterkid), success, and other factors. Whilst other names have been more vocal, sometimes those answers aren’t able to answer that equation. The only deductible answer to the Person of the Year is someone from the Rebel Penguin Federation. Link3000 spearheaded the Rebel Penguin Federation. ∴ Link3000 is 2025’s Person of the Year.

Congratulations to all the Honorable Mentions, Runner-Ups, and the 2025 Person of the Year! Throughout December, the administration team, advisors and former administrators worked tirelessly to figure the award winner. We believe that the selected person, as well as the Runner-Ups and HMs stood out the most in 2025 and were very influential to the whole community. 2025 was marked by much activity, with several armies reviving, others shutting down, leadership transitions, new alliances, retirements, controversies, the release of the updated map rules, administration changes and much more. The only thing that lacked was war. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to see what the future holds and the milestones yet to come. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year. May 2026 be better than 2025!
