Following the conclusion of 2025, the Person of the Year is soon to be announced. The event celebrates prominent figures who shaped community moments and left lasting legacies. Let us look at who the community believes will be the next to earn this title.

The Person of the Year title was first introduced in 2012 by Club Penguin Army Central. The community typically gives this award to the individual who has had the most impact throughout the year. Individuals considered controversial or prominent figures can qualify for this esteemed title. Over the years, the community has witnessed individuals such as Badboy and Flipmoo win the title, with Ugly and Calgocubs21 being recent winners.
This year, to shake things up, the admins will live broadcast the ceremony for the first time. This change means that the surrounding community will be able to witness who the runner-ups of the title will be and, eventually, see who was able to secure the prestigious title this year.
Club Penguin Armies has reached out to multiple community members to find out who they believe will be worthy of POTY.
Who do you think deserves Person of the Year 2025?
Viv, Water Vikings Advisor: Hmm… There’s been a few people who I think have had a good year and done well with their armies. I’d have to guess BP though. Aliens have steadily maintained great sizes and really cemented themselves as a major army. BP and aliens have really grown and been impressive so I have to go with BP as my guess!
Zooy, Head of CC: BP (BestPenguin) has stood out to me since his debut as Aliens leader and his promotion to Head Moderator; his kindness seems to be boundless and yet it’s not in a form that hinders his ability to succeed, as it does for many. He’s one of the few recent leaders who puts community safety and closeness over personal gain and glory, which is something that has also gained not only my respect but the respect and adoration of many others in the community. So, I think due to his substantial success with leading Aliens to one of the best if not the #1 army while keeping the community safe with his care taken to make sure the moderator department is running more than smoothly, he has a solid chance at the award. Furthermore, I believe he is one of the candidates who would be best accepted by the community to be bestowed the award: BP had been a role model and a mentor to many new leaders such as Krill.
StormTrooper, Army of Club Penguin: TropicSTORM! Throughout this year he has done a lot of great things such as getting 5ic in DCP and leading them to victory! He had been a fearless leader and helping others out and mass recruit each day. Since he has left armies now and some conflicts have occurred, redeemed himself and is very close to getting a staff rank in ACP. He has done many great things for armies and is a legendary person for 2025.
Lydia, Water Vikings leader: I believe Lydia is going to get penguin of the year. Lydia has done a lot according to certain CPA articles and Google AI overview. She’s a CPA reporter and does other things. It’s pretty cool. She’s a really nice individual and brings up people’s spirits I mean she even got the community comedian thing for the winter gala or whatever it was. Lydia has done a lot I mean she led WV for 2 months in 2025 which is a lot longer than half of the leaders in the leading scene right now. Lydia is pretty cool and is going to get POTY for 2025.
As expected, the community has its own opinions, thoughts, and perspectives on who they believe deserves POTY. We will soon see if these predictions will be correct and who will eventually receive this respected title. Who do you think will be POTY? Do you agree with these predictions?
