Manifesting the Halloween spirits, the community was treated to an introduction of a new army, the Mexican Irish Republican Army. In this post, we explore the creation of this new army, the background, and the goals behind it.

The army is being led by Kiltanon, one of People’s Imperial Confederation‘s current advisor. Kiltanon was first introduced to armies in 2020 through the Doritos server and later joined Magma Clan in 2022 as yokan, rising to LiT and, eventually, legend, and assisting with the Raticide Rat Army. He returned in World War IX with the Templars as a third-in-command and joined the Rebel Army Commando in 2024 under the name KiItanon. After a temporary ban, he became more active, joining PIC as a 3ic. He now serves as a Siderian Guard, advising within the army.

Kiltanon registering the army in CPA
Ellie joined armies in late March of this year, starting with the Rebel Penguin Federation. After finally reaching Staff-in-Training, tensions increased due to a recent scandal, detailed in this article, leading her to join PIC as staff. About a month after joining, she earned a promotion to 4iC alongside her colleague Miffy. Fast-forward, she had led alongside KiItanon in the Mexican Irish Republican Army, a spin of a wheel couped her on October 28.
The army applied for registration in Club Penguin Armies on October 28, after succesfuly hosting an opening event with a size of 6 troops.

MIRA OPENING EVENT
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Kiltanon for an interview to find out more about this army.
What made you decide to create MIRA?
Really, MIRA exists out of a whim. Not much thought went into its creation. This army serves no purpose and is entirely futile, it exists because it can, not because it needs to or it should.
How do you want your army to be different?
I want it to be different from other armies in the way that they are highly politicised. CPA should be about fun, but recently we’ve become all too complacent and allowing honestly idiotic stuff to influence decisions, decisions which shouldn’t be a big deal in the first place! If you want to go to war, just do it, don’t concoct some stupid reason for it. Whilst I don’t have any plans to get on the map, or engage in conflict, I believe this point should still be made. Also, we need to bring back UMA culture.
From Kiltanon’s responses above, he is excited to make MIRA preach the UMA culture of classic warfare. The community wishes his army and him the best of luck in growing and achieving their goals. Do you think Kiltanon will keep it as a meme army? How successful may this army be?
