Doritos History

The Doritos of Club Penguin was founded during February of 2010, by Wwebestfan. Their first war was with the Defense of Club Penguin over their shared abbreviation. The war terms were whoever wins keeps their DCP abbreviation. No one would have ever known that Doritos would spread their expansionist dominance across the army community, becoming one of the community’s greatest contenders. Notably, they recruited influential leaders such as Mustapha10, 32op, Bam117, and many others.

Over the years, they have achieved notable awards and victories, including reaching the grand finals of Legends Cup IV, playing a major role in Champions Cup II (ultimately defeated by the Army of Club Penguin), and, notably, holding the #1 spot for seven consecutive weeks while playing crucial roles in various aspects of the community. The Doritos of Club Penguin stayed active until the closure of Club Penguin in March of 2017. Following the closure of Club Penguin, the Doritos rose again on November 30, 2019, marking the beginning of their new era on the Club Penguin Private Server

Vivala1216’s Journey

Vivala started her journey with the Doritos of Club Penguin in late 2019. When she joined as a Fifth in Command, she quickly climbed the ranks and eventually became the Main Leader on January 11, 2020. Shortly after Vivala’s induction into the leadership, the Doritos declared war on the Pirates of Club Penguin. During this war, the Doritos reached an impressive maximum of 112 on March 2020 during the Invasion of Matterhorn.

Undeniably, Vivala played a crucial role in the growth of the Doritos across different CPPSes. She contributed significantly to the fun and engagement within the Doritos community. Vivala helped create posts about Club Penguin Catalog Secrets and hosted various types of mini-games, such as hide and seek. Subsequently, she was involved in organizing events for the Doritos, one of the most notable being the Winterball Prom.

Ultimately, Vivala retired on August 9, 2020 from the Doritos of Club Penguin. In her retirement post, she highlights her army career and thanks those who helped her throughout her journey in Club Penguin. On May 11 2025, Vivala’s Honorary Shield status was changed to Doritos’ Legend. Vivala was loyal all throughout her years in Doritos, and was a light to all those around her. In her induction post, it is stated that she was resilient, respectful, and united, which are qualities that have made her a true Dorito dame.

Club Penguin Armies contacted Vivala and conducted an exclusive interview regarding her, and her time throughout her former main army.

I. When you first joined Doritos, did you ever imagine you’d reach the status of legend and have the level of influence you have now?

Hmmm I feel like honestly when I first joined DCP I did actually have goals of becoming a leader. When I first joined though I don’t think I could’ve predicted how everything played out since then though, including the legend status and continued connection to the army 6 years after I first joined it.

II. How did the community around you influence your leadership and personal growth throughout your journey with Doritos?

Well, I was the first new gen leader of DCP. Joining DCP I was surrounded by leaders who had been army leaders back on the original club penguin, a decent amount of them being DCP legends and even army legends. I pretty much learned everything thats more CPA event, battle and war related, such as all the tips and tricks when you’re leading an event and such, formations or movements I hadn’t done before, etc. from them. The community DCP had was full of the older original generation so being alongside them and having them teach me the ropes was what I think really helped me grow into someone who could be a major army leader commanding a hundred plus penguins.

III. Being a leader from a newer era co-leading with people who have lead during OG CPA, what was your biggest take away?

Hmm.. it’s hard to say just 1 because there were so many takeaways from that time period. I think one was how much effort and work you have to put in as a leader to be a pretty army consistently, and the most successful leaders in my eyes lead by example.

IV. If you could go back in time and relive a moment from your time in DCP, what moment would you pick?

Probably the spring formal that I invented and ran, a fun event sort of like a school dance on club penguin, hosted during the Hollywood party so everyone could dress to impress. 125 people came to the event, it was a fun success. We started in that [awards] room, however due to the 125 people and that room having a much too small room size limit, we had to move lol

V. If you could go back in time and give yourself advice before you became a leader, what would you tell yourself?

I wish I could give a more fun answer to this, as my number 1 advice is a bit pessimistic. You cannot be a generally trusting person in CPA. I’ve been around armies long enough where I’ve seen people I trusted at one point turned into threateners, doxxers or worse. So my advice would be to absolutely do things different in terms of internet safety because what u put out on discord… Once it’s out there it’s out there. Lol I always want to lecture these newer kids nowadays about safety and tell them that I wish I had been told, what I tell them.

Even though the Doritos have now closed, their legends legacy’s won’t end. Vivala will continue to carry on her legacy of being a person who wants to contribute to fun within the community.  You can find Vivala still contributing to the fun in different armies, she even participating in the fun herself during community events. Vivala will be immortalized in the Hall of Fame for doing the things she loved, which was showing others fun. Who else in the community do you know contributes to the fun aspect of Club Penguin Armies? Do you feel inspired by Vivala’s story?
