CPA Spotlight: Void Troops Break War Terms

The administration, together with the Club Penguin Army Judges Head Judges and the CPA: Battleground Head Mods, researched some Void Troops actions in the past few months.

The Allegations and the initial thoughts

On August 20, the Club Penguin Armies administration, Club Penguin Army Judges head judges and the CPA: Battleground head mods were brought together in a group chat. There, some individuals shared information they had gathered regarding allegations about Void Troopsmisdeeds in the past few months. After examining the proof thoroughly, doing several multilog checks, checking as far back as 360 days ago, we realised that:

  • Kira attended war battles on her alternative account, Sunnydays, while she was enlisted in the Doritos of Club Penguin. The war, which was the Void Troops versus Penguins of Agartha war, didn’t allow any outside involvement, as can be seen in the war terms below. The alt account was logged on all three VT offensives in the war. The invasions of Deep Freeze, Geladeira, and Mountain. The IPs on which the account was logged in during those battles matched the IPs on Kira’s main account. Additionally, the administration had received proof that showed that the VT leadership acknowledged Kira joining VT and shadow leading on an alt, while she was still in the Doritos of Club Penguin

In the information the individuals shared, there was also a screenshot of some of Kira’s messages. In the messages, she stated Antman was logged on from her alt account, while she was judging at the same time. Through the event pictures, it was seen that Antman was also attending that event on his main account, which raised multilogging suspicions.

Conversation with Kira

The CPA Admins, CPAJ HJs and CPAB HMs first reached out to Kira, given it was her account that was used, and since her actions affected all organisations. Kira was asked about multilogging and she denied any accusations. She mentioned that her alt account was initially made several months ago to test tactics.

Also, she was asked who else had access to the Sunnydays account details, to which she replied that she had shared them with other high-ranking VT members. She denied attending any war events that would violate the war terms and claimed that if the account was active on one, then it was a troop that didn’t have an account and was given her account.

Conversation with the VT leaders

After talking with Kira, the investigation continued, spearheaded by CPA Admins, with the contributions of CPAJ HJs and CPAB HMs. Antman and Logical, along with Kira, were added initially as they were all involved with the situation, and they are also currently leading the army. They were questioned about the findings and were asked to give proof of who was logged into Kira’s alt account on some specific days that stood out. After being asked some questions, they were given a day to present any evidence. They also said only high ranked VT members had access to the account details, which raised suspicions even more. After the initial talks, Ugly, another current VT leader who wasn’t involved in the events under investigation, was also added, so that he could contribute to the talks and help VT on their search for proof. The leadership wasn’t cooperative, complaining about the investigation.

Antman shed some light on the case, claiming that he didn’t multilog, but a person who had visited him in real life was given Kira’s alt account to attend two events. Antman claimed that this was what Kira referred to in her messages, as she didn’t know that Antman had other people attending. There wasn’t any clear proof of that, apart from Antman (over)sharing screenshots of messages with that person regarding Club Penguin and VT.

The talks continued without any results. We tried to push to get proof that would help identify the account users. It was tougher than normal, as VT had been defaced not too long ago, so a large amount of information was lost.

The proof document

Finally, after hours had passed and several discussions had happened, the Void Troops shared a document with everything they could prove. They finally admitted that Kira had violated the VT-POA war term rules by attending on an alt while being enlisted in a different army. Regarding the allegations about Antman there wasn’t any new decisive proof presented. VT also made some false accusations against CPA, stating that we demanded “private life proof”, which isn’t true in this case. Antman shared personal info on his own without being explicitly told to. They also accused the investigators of throwing around random allegations, but this wasn’t true. The investigators examined the information they had received, combined with the bot logs and the stuff VT leadership had said. There was no definitive proof to show that Antman multilogged, nor that he didn’t. Thus, he is innocent till proven guilty.

Action taken

A few months ago, there was a post written by the administration about Authority, Accountability, and the Line We Draw.

Keeping that in mind, given the severity of VT’s actions, which involved former and current leaders, we decided the following:

  • The VT force treaty against POA will be cancelled.
  • POA was given the choice to select four of VT’s servers on the map, apart from the capital, to take. This was their reparation for VT’s violation of the war terms, since too much time has passed for a force treaty against VT to be issued. They didn’t want any servers, though, so the administration will choose four random VT servers to release as freeland.
  • Sunnydays account will be deactivated by CPAB.
  • Antman and VT won’t be punished for multilogging, as there were no proven multilogging cases, only allegations.

As always, Club Penguin Armies does not condone multilogging, nor defacing and will punish both severely where found.
