This Sunday, Club Penguin Armies announced the details of Summer Blitz, a map tournament designed to challenge Small/Medium armies throughout two weeks. A comprehensive list of rules and information is essential to ensure clarity and avoid any uncertainties. To learn more about the tournament and its gameplay, make sure to check our previous Summer Blitz announcement.
general tournament rules
To ensure the tournament runs smoothly, we have established the following rules based on previous and recently updated tournament policies. Please make sure to read them carefully.
- Reviews will only be allowed for the Grand Finals and will be conducted by unaffiliated (to the battle) Head Judges.
- Just like in the previous tournaments, there have been deadlines set concerning the review process:
- Leaders cannot request a review more than three hours after the final results are posted. Additionally, they cannot submit evidence later than 21 hours after requesting a review (videos should be submitted as soon as possible).
- Head Judges must notify both armies about the review and whether it will proceed as soon as possible. The deadline for the Head Judges to complete the review is 24 hours after the evidence submission deadline.
- Attendance policy: Individuals are allowed to attend for an army if:
- They enlisted in the army before the tournament map opens. It does not matter if they are also enlisted in another army. Advisors count as an active rank.
- They are not enlisted in any army. The Ice Warriors do not count as an army.
- They must stick with the same army throughout the tournament. If this army is eliminated, they cannot attend battles for any other.
- The judging will be undertaken by Club Penguin Army Judges and organized by the Head Judges.
- Each army has the right to veto up to two judges per battle. Once an army has used both vetoes, it cannot issue any more for that battle. Vetoes must be made before the four-hour mark and cannot be used against Head Judges unless they are affiliated with an army. If no available judges remain after the vetoes, the Head Judges may appoint individuals, including those previously vetoed, to ensure the battle proceeds smoothly.
- Judges will be announced well in advance (typically shortly after the week’s schedule is announced).
- Each room will have three judges. If there are not enough judges, a Head Judge may count as two. Free land invasions will have one judge. In the event a tie breaker is needed, there will be five judges.
- Anybody banned from CPA Battleground cannot participate in tournament battles (including but not limited to attending on alts, leading from Discord or other third-party websites, etc.). If found guilty of violating this rule by administrator’s discretion, the army they are involved with will be disqualified.
timings
Summer Blitz is set to start on Saturday, August 16, and officially end on Saturday, August 30. The tournament will take place over two weeks. Gentle reminder that there will be a 3-day grace period, ending on Tuesday, August 19, at 9 AM EST(EDT). This means armies will not be allowed to invade each other while it is in place. Below is the official start and end times for the tournament.
Start Date: 9:00 AM EST(EDT) on Saturday, August 16
From this time, armies will be allowed to schedule invasions on territories connected to their nation. To reiterate, each army will be given one territory and can only schedule one invasion at a time.
The tournament will end either after two weeks of battling or when an army conquers the map. If two or more armies end up having the same amount of land in the end of it, a battle will be scheduled between these armies to determine the winner. Below is the official end date/time for the tournament.
End Date: 9:00 AM EST(EDT) Saturday, August 30
Invasions for this tournament cannot be scheduled before the start date and time, and no invasions can be scheduled to occur after the end time. Any war involving a participating member outside the tournament will be paused. The war will only be able to continue following the conclusion of this tournament. Starting Friday, August 15, no army participating in this tournament will be able to schedule invasions on the main map or be scheduled upon.

S/M armies will schedule invasions in #summer-blitz-scheduling and will be able to rename servers after they successfuly invade them in #summer-blitz-renaming.
As always, we would like to thank the Small/Medium Army Board Representatives for supporting the idea of hosting this tournament. Additionally, we thank Club Penguin Army Judges for making sure the tournament runs smoothly by having all battles judged, and CPA: Battleground for providing a safe and moderated CPPS for armies to use. A big shoutout to VESTA who designed the tournament logo and is also in charge of designing the trophy. Which army do you think will be victorious in this tournament?
