After a long night at the casino, the armies decided to resume their conquest. The gambling addiction is still present, though. It is now the time of the final spin before the summer ends.

Following the Legends Cup XV tourney, Club Penguin Armies now present the final tournament of the summer, the Summer Blitz. This tournament will not follow the basic format. Instead, it will be a map tournament where only the Small/Medium armies can participate. The S/M community has been thriving this summer, with several armies opening, so it was necessary to host a tournament for them. It will follow a similar format to the Blood Bowl tournament that was hosted last year by CPA.
This time, having seen the errors of BB, some rules have been adjusted. This will stop the creation of some loopholes that were present in BB, while keeping the strategic element present. In addition, some creative rules have been added to enhance the gameplay.
Summer Blitz
The land for the tourney will open on Saturday, August 16, at 9 am EST. After that, there will be a 3-day grace period so that armies can get some freeland. Armies will be able to schedule invasions against other armies starting on Tuesday, August 19, at 9am EST. The map will remain open for invasions until Saturday, August 30, 9 am EST. The continent that will be used and the starting location of each army will be announced on Thursday. The starting place of each army will be decided through a wheel. The starting lands won’t border each other.
The winning army will be the one with the most land at the time the map closes. If two armies have the same amount of land at that time, then there will be a battle to determine the winner. In the same way, if the armies with the same amount of land are 3+, then there will be a 3+ way final battle, with the winner of it winning the tournament.
The following armies are welcome to participate, with the sign-ups concluding on Wednesday, August 13 at 12pm EST/5pm UK. If you’re an army leader, confirm your participation in the direct messages with an administrator.

Size minimums
- In order to invade a freeland, the army needs to max at least 5.
- In a battle, both armies need to max at least 5 in room 1.
- If an army doesn’t max 5, then the other one wins.
- If both armies fail to max 5, then the defender keeps the land.
- Similarly, armies need to max at least 3 troops online in rooms 2 and 3.

Invasions scheduling
- Armies can only invade land that is adjacent to the land they already own.
- Invasions must be scheduled within 24-48 hours before. Any schedule less than 24 hours or more than 48 hours in advance will be deemed invalid.
- They should be announced both in CPAJ and in CPA within that time limit.
If it’s a battle, the enemy army leaders should be pinged in both. - An army can schedule up to 1 freeland invasion at a time.
- An army can schedule up to 1 invasion against another army at a time.
Based on 4 and 5, an army can have 2 invasions scheduled at most at any given time. - An army cannot be invaded more than once in the same timezone; AUSIA is 2:59 AM – 9:29 AM EST, EU is 9:30 AM – 4:59 PM EST, and US is 5 PM – 2:59 AM EST.
- An army will not be allowed to indefinitely reschedule invasions. There will be a limit of 3 times per invasion. This rule will apply to all types of invasions. If an army reschedules an invasion more than 3 times, the invasion will be deemed invalid.
- Unlike the main map, upon scheduling on a freeland, it doesn’t get locked. Meaning other armies can schedule on it too. If an army successfully invades a freeland, for which there have been scheduled invasions by other armies, at a later time, the later invasions will be invalidated.
(example: Army A scheduled to invade server 57 at 8 am EST and Army B at 10 am EST. If army A successfully invades 57, then army B’s invasion will get cancelled.) - All invasions must be scheduled using the EST (EDT formally) or BST time zones. (example: say 7 pm EST and not 6 pm CST)
- Invasions scheduled for after Saturday, August 30, 9 am EST, will be invalidated.

Extras
- When an army loses all its land, it gets eliminated and can’t rejoin the tournament.
- Treaties and alliances don’t apply to the tourney.
- All land is automatically locked. Trades and transfers aren’t allowed.
- While the armies participate in the tourney, any other land they own on the main map will be locked, and it won’t be able to be invaded. Additionally, till their elimination or the end of the tourney, the participating armies can’t invade land on the main map.
- Force treaties are off.
The rules above are the map rules. The regular tournament rules that apply to all tournaments will be announced in a post later this week, along with the assigned land for each army.
