Introduction
This week, members were challenged with predicting the results of the Legends Cup XV Quarter Finals, composed of 4 battles: Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Doritos of Club Penguin, Army of Club Penguin vs. Help Force, Water Vikings vs. Templars of Club Penguin, and Aliens vs. Void Troops. This post will act as a summary to provide an overview of how this week’s bets went.
Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Doritos of Club Penguin
3-0-0 RPF (DCP no-show)
Every single bet out of the 19 valid bets (100%) was both correct in the winner and the room score, guessing a Rebel Penguin Federation sweep. Each bet, as a result was both multiplied threefold and paid back an extra 100 coins. The average bet value on this battle was 53.52 coins, and had an average ROI of 1,490.94%. It seems that many of our betters could confidently predict the shutdown of the Doritos of Club Penguin!
Army of Club Penguin vs. Help Force
1-2-0 HF
2 out of the 19 valid bets (10.5263158%) were correct in predicting the winner, guessing a Help Force win. Nobody correctly bet on the extremely narrow and close room score of 1 win, 2 ties in favor of the Help Force. Those 2 bets, as a result, were returned twofold. The average bet value on this battle was 12.30 coins, and had an average ROI of -78.95%. For this battle, it seems that many people could not confidently predict the results of the battle, nor could many predict correctly. The CPA house wins, 128 coins to be exact.
Water Vikings vs. Templars of Club Penguin
2-1-0 WV
16 out of the 19 valid bets (84.2105263%) were correct in predicting the winner, guessing a Water Vikings win. Nobody correctly bet on the room score of 2 wins, 1 tie in favor of the Water Vikings. Those 16 bets, as a result, were returned twofold. The average bet value on this battle was 13.05 coins, and had an average ROI of approximately 68.42%. When betting on the results of the battle between the Water Vikings and the Templars of Club Penguin, people could not predict the closer score of 2-1-0. Possibly also because it is a rarer combination of room outcomes.
Aliens vs. Void Troops
3-0-0 Aliens
11 out of the 19 valid bets (57.8947368%) were correct in predicting the winner, guessing an Aliens win. Additionally, 6 of those 11 bets correctly predicted the room score of an Aliens sweep. As by the rules of the CPA casino, 5 of the bets were returned twofold, 6 of them threefold; and 8 of them for the house to profit off of and return nothing. The average bet value on this battle was 17.75 coins, and had an average ROI of 2,700.00%. So, it seems that many people could foresee the Aliens’ win, some reasoning based on Top Ten, and the majority of those who expected a victory for the Aliens expected a sweep.
