An Unexpected Debut

What began as an April Fools’ joke back in 2023 officially came to reality on July 3, 2025. Under Pingo’s leadership, the Boxmen of Boxland officially established themselves within the community, successfully maxing 11 troops at their opening event. At the time, Pingo was enlisted in the Water Vikings, raising speculation about what the nature of the Boxmen would be. To the surprise of many, the Boxmen declared themselves an independent army, even establishing alliances with the Army of Yoni773Romans, and the Portal Hoppers of Club Penguin shortly after their opening.

OUT OF THE BOX

The initial momentum was converting into tangible results. In their first week, the Boxmen debuted 14th on the Top Ten Armies. The next week, they rose to 13th, showing strong early potential as a growing army. Unfortunately, the Boxmen were not able to climb higher than 13th in the Top Ten, but still had greater ambitions.

On July 8, the Boxmen shocked the community with an unexpected war declaration. To the surprise of many, the Boxmen officially declared war on the Rebel Penguin Federation. Their opening success and their bold war declaration had proved the Boxmen nothing less than a new, yet ambitious force to be reckoned with.

Boxmen’s war declaration on RPF

RPF swiftly crushed the momentum with a decisive counter-offensive, invading the Boxmen’s only server, Fiesta. In the battle for Fiesta, RPF deployed an overwhelming force of 56 soldiers, facing off against a lone Boxman defender. Outnumbering their opponent 56-to-1, RPF effectively ended the war within minutes as Fiesta fell under their control, resulting in the Boxmen getting force treatied.

THE END OF THE BOXMEN

On July 12, the Boxmen officially shut down, holding their final event. Despite their brief run, they left a mark on the community, proving that any army, no matter how short-lived, can make an impact and spark something new.
