CPA Summer Olympics: Week 1 Recap

Club Penguin Armies officially announced the first edition of the Olympics in conjunction with the Community Committee, marking it as one of the biggest community-wide events. Throughout the first week of the Olympics, we’ve seen many armies gain points through various activities to fight for the #1 spot. We will recap all these activities to see where the armies currently stand.

On June 28, Club Penguin Armies announced the grand opening of the Summer Olympics of 2025, a series of challenges presented to all armies participating to complete for points. This announcement set the stage for a massive opening ceremony hosted on June 5, marking the beginning of the games. On July 6, Zooy released the first week of challenges, where armies participate in activities such as recruitment to prepare for the Legends Cup.

Week One Challenges

Challenge 1: Recruiting Practice

Unfortunately, no army was able to recruit 15 troops and have them all attend an event in the given time. Some were able to submit 15 new recruits, however were unable to provide evidence of each’s attendance. Most armies focused on easier to complete challenges.

Winner: None

Challenge 2: Stellar Stargazing

The twist of this challenge was that it was a first-come first-served, meaning the first army to complete it will earn the points and no one other can finish it. An army must have a troop’s message or media be starred and posted on the #starboard channel!

The winning army of this challenge was the Army of Club Penguin, as they were able to bring Misaki’s awesome art to the starboard channel.

Challenge 3: Emergency meeting

This challenge requires five army members to join the CPA voice channel at the same time. The challenge’s twist is that the points will be decreased as time goes by, urging the armies to quickly host an emergency meeting in the voice channel.

There have been several armies that were able to complete this challenge, making them earn points to continue competing in the Olympics.

Winners: Army of Club Penguin, Help Force, Aliens, Special Weapons and Tactics, Void Troops, Templars, and Doritos

Challenge 4: Considerable Destruction

The fourth challenge is pretty simple, you only need to participate in a practice battle against any army; however it needs to be a same-classification battle. This challenge’s rules are standard and have no tricky twist.

Many armies were able to complete this challenge with ease, hosting practice battles with their allies or close armies.

Winners: Army of Club Penguin, Templars, Help Force

Challenge 5: Gym Igloo Designer

The fifth challenge focused on igloo creation, having to style your igloo to match that of a gym. This challenge requires judges to determine a winner, so all armies gave it their all to gain the most points.

The Army of Club Penguin was able to grab the #1 rank thanks to Misaki’s igloo, Romans coming in second, and Aliens in third.

This concludes the first week’s Summer Olympics challenges. We see many armies continue to compete in various activities. The Army of Club Penguin currently leads the rankings in the Olympics, but this could change in the second week. Who do you think will win the Summer Olympics?
