What do Club Penguin Armies and the Sonic universe have in common? Way more than you would think! Fast-paced action, dramatic rivalries, and a cast of characters that never fail to surprise you. In this post, we are asking ourselves: “What if armies were Sonic characters?”

Aliens – Tails the Fox
Aliens are a recent, but rapidly rising force. Aliens are very supportive and friendly towards armies as a whole. They are also very detail-oriented and smart about their alliances. Like Tails, they play a supportive but strategic role, helping shape battles not through brute power, but through coordination, planning, and clever maneuvering. Even though they might not represent a threat at first, be careful when facing off against them in a battle!
Army of Club Penguin – Sonic the Hedgehog
ACP is the oldest army in history and the one many others model themselves after. Like Sonic, ACP is heroic, fast-responding, and sometimes a bit reckless, but always aiming to stand on the side of order to “preserve justice and defend freedom”. They have had long rivalries, led major wars, and tend to be central to the community’s narrative. Even when down, they bounce back with speed.
Doritos of Club Penguin – Dr. Eggman
DCP has always been a high-drama, high-impact army. They can go dormant, then explode back into the spotlight with war declarations, force treaties, or even diss tracks. Like Dr. Eggman, they are unpredictable, often playing with questionable moves and unexpected alliances. They may fall, but they always return, often with more fire, controversy, and spectacle than before. Whether they are rebuilding or waging war, they make sure everyone is watching.
Elite Guardians – Metal Sonic
Right now, EGCP is not the loudest or most visible army, but they still carry an aura of control, precision, and pride. Their controversies and secrecy add mystery, but they are undeniably calculated and capable. Like Metal Sonic, EGCP is cold, effective, and constantly underestimated until they move.
Help Force – Silver the Hedgehog
Silver is calm, idealistic, and driven by a sense of greater purpose. He is not interested in conflict for conflict’s sake; he fights only when necessary, and always with a bigger picture in mind. That perfectly reflects HF, an army known for its peaceful, collected demeanor and its tendency to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Rebel Penguin Federation – Shadow the Hedgehog
RPF has always had a kind of cool confidence. They are strong, disciplined, and often seen as one of the “untouchables” of CPA. Much like Shadow, they play the game seriously. RPF not only wins, but they dominate tournaments and influence the community, despite their isolationist tendencies. They are also fiercely loyal to their identity and cause.
Romans – Tikal the Echdina
The Romans are a revival of one of CPA’s oldest armies. What sets them apart is their hierarchical structure, one that values tradition over chaos or hype. Tikal is the calm, ancient guardian of the Sonic world, someone who acts with purpose and restraint, grounded in a rich historic legacy. The Romans mirror this vibe, with a sense of returning structured leadership in a modernized community.
Scarlet Republic – Vector the Crocodile
SR may be a Small/Medium army, but they are loud when they want to be, quick to jump into alliances, and influence the S/M community. Like Vector, they are street-smart and persistent, always buzzing around bigger armies. They may not have the numbers, but they have got presence and guts.
Templars – Fang the Sniper
TCP has always marched to the beat of its own war drums. Fang the Sniper is cunning, strategic, and quick to act when opportunity arises. That mirrors TCP’s long streak of declarations, controversies, targeted invasions, and a somewhat chaotic positioning. While they may not always seek many alliances, they are sharp and persistent, always eyeing the next hit.
Void Troops – Espio the Chameleon
Espio is stealthy and often works in the background, much like VT’s sudden but impactful entrance into CPA. They are not always center stage, but when they act, it is clean and tactical, as seen with their recent war declarations. Even after their defacement, the army still holds a certain influence, but a quieter one now. Espio’s ninja-like discipline reflects VT’s mixed pattern of either silent moves or loud actions.
Water Vikings – Knuckles the Echidna
WV is a defensive powerhouse with a reputation for returning strong after every fall. They have been locked down, rebuilt, and rallied countless times. Now, they are the top #3 army in the community. Like Knuckles, they might seem tough to approach, but their core is all about protecting their turf. Loyal, durable, and not afraid to go toe-to-toe with anyone, mostly in tournaments.
It is clear that each army has a different personality and history, which reveals the diversity existing in our community. Which character do you think would fit other armies? Do you agree with my choices?
