Founded by Sidie9 on October 17, 2019, the People’s Imperial Confederation is an army with much history. Looking at this history, you’ll find that each new generation of PIC always grows stronger than the last. Following this trend, their fourth generation proved to be one of the most successful runs in the army’s history. This generation of PIC significantly won three tournaments in the Small/Medium categories, all with ease. As champions of Beach Brawl III, New Year Bonanza, and Around The World Cup, PIC’s fourth generation had closed with a lot of legacy behind it.
The army’s fourth generation officially closed on April 21, 2025, ending a two-year stretch of dominance that had begun on February 4, 2023. However, after some internal matters arose, Sidie9 placed the army on an indefinite hiatus. As a result, the future of the Confederation became uncertain. Despite this, the shutdown announcement subtly hinted at a late May meeting between PIC veterans and legends to discuss the army’s future. This meeting ultimately decided that the army was ready to make a return. Following the internal discussions, the People’s Imperial Confederation was announced to return on June 30.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to the People’s Imperial Confederations founder Sidie9 for an exclusive interview regarding PIC’s new generation.
Can you name the main factor caused PIC to reopen?
The decision to re-establish the Confederation was ultimately in the hands of the veterans of PIC and those who cared for it. I’ve retired from the army community, so beyond attending events occasionally my ability to help is limited. At the Second Open Congress I asked the People of PIC whether or not the army should return and they voted yes.
How does the Confederation plan to build off the previous generation?
Both Taro and Caitlin are exceptional and experienced individuals with a lot of potential for success. Though they’ve hired staff and are continuing to receive applications, they still have a lot of work ahead of them. I know they have what it takes to reach the heights of previous generations, if not greater.
What is the long-term vision for this generation of PIC?
Of course the leaders of PIC will want the army to be winning tournaments and placing highly on the Top Ten, considering the Confederation had established itself as being one of the defining small/medium armies of the CPPS era. I imagine they will want to continue the PIC’s legacy in warfare too, but I can’t speak for Taro or Caitlin.
Lastly, does PIC have any plans for the Legends Cup?
That decision is for Taro and Caitlin, I don’t know if they have decided to do Legends Cup.
With the Summer Olympics underway and Legends Cup XV approaching soon, the People’s Imperial Confederation returns to the league at a great time. Building on a strong legacy and planning carefully for the road ahead, PIC is poised to make its fifth generation its greatest yet. What challenges do you think PIC’s fifth generation will face? What are your thoughts on PIC’s return?
