With each passing month comes many memorable moments, but deciding which ones deserve to be considered as the “top moments” is no easy task. The Club Penguin Armies staff team hosts a monthly vote to determine the “Top Five Moments” of the month. With Around the World Cup II concluding its Group Stage at the end of the month, the rest of May saw many changes within armies, as well as a fair share of controversy. Without further ado, let us reveal the top five moments for May.

5. Washing Away The Dust: Aisha Retires From The Doritos

After a long journey through her army career, Aisha officially retired from the Doritos of Club Penguin on May 17. In her post, Aisha thanked the community and reflected on her army career. She organized a retirement event for herself on that date and invited everyone to come. The Doritos managed to assemble an impressive number of 92 troops for the event. Just after her retirement event on May 17, long-time Doritos icon 32op formally recognized Aisha’s impact and contributions to the community with the honorary designation of Doritos Legend. This award reflects not just her achievements during a long leadership career, but years of volunteerism and commitment to the community.

4. Another One?! Void Troops Declares War on Doritos

Recently, light was shed on many vices of the Doritos of Club Penguin, and an exodus began, with accusations ranging from doxxing to internal turmoil to cybercrime. Consequently, the Void Troops retaliated and declared war against DCP. Amid multiple leadership changes and a sharp decline, DCP was set to battle against a newfound army co-operated by those of Doritos’ own.

3. Club Penguin Armies Announces Around The World Cup II

On May 5, Club Penguin Armies announced the return of Around the World Cup, launching its second edition as a global tournament for armies across all time zones. Featuring both Major and Small/Medium divisions, the tournament uses a round-robin group stage format, with battles scheduled to match each army’s regional time zone. The tournament kicked off with the Qualifier Round on May 17, giving armies a chance to secure their spot in the main stage. The Group Stage officially began on May 27, setting the tone for a high-stakes season of international competition.

2. Cruising Away From Shore: Claire Announces Departure From Water Vikings

On May 17 2025, Claire officially retired from Water Vikings leadership, bringing an end to nearly four years of service to the army. Her retirement marked a significant moment in WV’s history, as she reflected on her long-standing dedication, growth, and accomplishments within the community. In her closing event, Claire expressed deep gratitude to those she worked alongside, recalling both the challenges and triumphs that shaped her leadership. Her departure leaves behind a lasting legacy, not only through the tournaments won and alliances forged but also through the connections she built with countless members across her journey.

1. RyeBread Promoted To Head YouTuber; BP Achieves Head Moderator in CPA

On May 10, changes occurred within the Moderation department, as we saw BestPenguin joining Jojo Teri in the Head Moderator position. The community recognises Bp as a sweetheart and a caring and responsible Moderator, as his capabilities always stood out as he fulfilled his duties. Additionally, aiming to revamp, restructure, and develop the YouTube Department, CPA announced the promotion of Rye Bread to Head YouTuber. Rye has been crowned as Media Member countless times, showing her fantastic job as a YouTube Editor and Recorder. Now, she aims to make the department shine bright and be more active.


With armies now focusing on the upcoming Legends Cup XV, June is already as action-packed as the previous month. As May saw many changes in individual armies and CPA, we now look at how these moments will affect armies in the future. What was your favourite moment from May, and why?
