The tenth iteration of the most controversial tournament of the year is scheduled to commence this Saturday. As the Qualifier Round of March Madness X approaches, let us find out who the community anticipates will advance in the Shamrock Conference.

March Madness is one of the most traditional tournaments in the army community – widely known as the most controversial. Throughout its nine editions, only a few armies had the privilege of lifting the much-coveted Clover trophy. This year, an impressive amount of fourteen armies will engage in heated and lucky battles during March. Because of the great number of sign-ups, twelve armies were paired together in the Qualifier Round. Six battles are scheduled to take place across this weekend.
Club Penguin Armies interviewed various members of the community for their predictions on the armies that will emerge victorious from the Shamrock Conference Qualifier Round. They were also asked to provide the grounds on which they support their views.
People’s Imperial Confederation vs. The Bastille Vanguard
PIC vs. TBV, EGCP, and SP in Candy Crusher Brawl
The People’s Imperial Confederation is set to face The Bastille Vanguard in the first weekend of March Madness. The winning army will advance to the Elite Eight, where it will face the Doritos of Club Penguin. This marks the inaugural clash between both armies in a traditional tournament setting, even though they have already met each other on the battlefield during Candy Crusher. Thus, considering that both armies have close placements in the recent Top Ten rankings, this is bound to be a close match.
Yeeter, Army of Club Penguin: PIC win 2-0-1 [W-T-L]. Well mostly since PIC is getting good on their size recently i think they dominate the battle
SavageCobra, Water Vikings: 2-0-1 TBV, I hope. Scars is bad
Monstah, Army Community: PIC 2-1-0 Both armies max about the same but PIC has more battle experience so that could be the deciding factor for their win.
MtJordan II, Associate Editor: 2-0-1 in favour of TBV. TBV has been doing well in the past few days and dont seem to back down so soon
Elsa, Templars: I think PIC will win: 3-0-0, and I have faith in them and move onto the next round. No offense to TBV!
Wynn, Advisor: 1-2 TBV This may a very close one, with both armies being capable of good performance and experience. I’m guessing TVB’s winn though, with them being higher on top ten recently, and remembering PIC losing motivation at the last moment in the past.
Aliens vs. Smart Penguins
Aliens in a recent CPJ rogue event
This is the first time the Aliens encounter the Smart Penguins in a battle. Given this is a mixed-classification battle – consisting of a Small/Medium army fighting against a Major army – the results of this clash may be clear to the community. Nonetheless, we never know if the smart cookies will pull some aces up on their sleeves to surprise the spectators.
Yeeter, Army of Club Penguin: 3-0-0 Aliens win. Aliens are kinna focus more towards CPJ but their current average size in CPAB will dominate against SP.
SavageCobra, Water Vikings: 3-0-0 Aliens, they’re lethal out of nowhere
Monstah, Army Community: Aliens 3-0. Aliens have a significant size advantage over SP who just recently revived. Despite being a CPJ army, Aliens come in clutch during CPAB battles as seen in the last tourney so I think it’s an easy win for Aliens.
MtJordan II, Associate Editor: 3-0-0 in favour of Aliens. SP will be heavily outnumbered by the mighty aliens
Elsa, Templars: For Aliens vs SP, I’m choosing the smart penguins due to my loyalty as their ally, and I say 2-0-1.
Wynn, Advisor: 0-3 Aliens. Aliens are a major army with good placings on top ten and consistency needed for a win.
Help Force vs. Scarlet Republic
SR in a recent CPJ rogue event
The Scarlet Republic will participate in a traditional tournament for the first time in its history. Meanwhile, the Help Force, the current Legends Cup champions, are no strangers to tournaments. Similarly to Aliens and SP, this is the first time both will face off against each other; and the classification of both armies weighs a lot in the community’s predictions.
Yeeter, Army of Club Penguin: 3-0-0 HF wins. Despite I wanna say that i wanted SR to win (cuz im super close with the founder), its gonna be impossible against HF mainly cuz of the max and average sizes.
SavageCobra, Water Vikings: 3-0-0 HF. They can bring the size.
Monstah, Army Community: HF 3-0. SR is new to the army scene and might need time to build and gain battle exp. HF on the other hand has a lot of battle experience and seems to be rebuilding to get to their previous sizes.
MtJordan II, Associate Editor: 3-0-0 in favour of HF. The helpers are immensely better than SR.
Elsa, Templars: Hmmm. I choose the help force because I cheered for them during legends cup back in 2023, and they won that, so I say 3-0-0!
Wynn, Advisor: 0-3 HF. Help Force is a major army, always having a good tournament performance, while Scarlet Republic only recently reopened, and is not able to bring a max that could threaten HF’s success.
The community’s predictions are leaning toward two favorites: the Aliens and the Helpers, while there is a conflict between PIC and TBV. Nonetheless, this tournament is certainly going to be filled with surprising turnabouts and outcomes. Therefore, let us wait for this weekend to see the results unfold. Do you think the Small/Medium armies will outperform their Major opponents? What about the Vanguardists? Will they be able to upset the Confederates?
