Early Career

FatChicken first joined armies on March 21, 2020, recruited by Cubster while playing Club Penguin Rewritten for the first time. He had a swift early career and got to partake in World War Rewritten as a troop helping the Army of Club Penguin in war battles. He consistently contributed to the army until being promoted to a staff rank in early June.

As a moderator, he assisted ACP in various major events, such as the Flash Nemesis war against Special Weapons and Tactics and reaching the Fright or Fight finals. On March 7, 2021, he secured a spot in the Higher Command team, playing a huge part in many successes, such as Project: Conquest and winning the War of Estranged Brothers against Doritos. In the same month, the Clovers also made it to the finals of March Madness VI against the Ice Warriors.

After his successful early career, FatChicken was inducted as the 47th Commander in Chief on August 31, 2021. Under him, ACP achieved plenty of success in wars such as World War VIII and the War of No Revenge against Templars. He was able to solidify his status as an extraordinary leader, being bestowed the Bronze Medal Award in ACP. Chicken’s involvement and impact in ACP during 2020-2021 solidified his reputation within ACP, with his status closely linked to the historically significant ACP group, Golden Democratic. After a long journey, he announced his retirement on December 5, 2021, and announced Jesus1_4 as the new leader.

The Return

After many years, Chicken made a return to ACP as an HCOM alongside other members of the Golden Democratic on October 5, 2024. This return was in reaction to the group’s common ambitions to the present ACP generation, helping them in their push. Right after the return, Chicken went on to participate and come out victorious in the Project Conquest: Blood Bowl tournament. This only helped him push the army into higher maxes, going on to keep ACP at a comfortable spot in the Top Tens.

Media contributions

Outside of the army side, Chicken went out of his way to contribute to various army leagues. His first work within army media was in 2020 in Club Penguin Army Hub as a reporter. After his long hiatus, he joined Club Penguin Armies as a reporter once again, contributing greatly to the team. His work quickly rose him through the media ranks, as he became an Associate Editor on November 1, 2024.

Thanks to his diverse work across Club Penguin Armies, FatChicken continues to carve his name for the history books. Today, he is still pursuing his work in the Army of Club Penguin towards a brighter future while also helping the CPA media department.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to FatChicken for an exclusive interview about his most memorable moments in the army community.

What is your most valuable and memorable moment in your career thus far?

I’ve had many different moment’s I’d label as “memorable” over the years I’ve been enlisted in ACP. Some older moments include the Fright or Fight tournament of 2020, and the March Madness tournament of 2021 – as well as many of the themed weeks ACP had at the time. More recent memories include the most recent ACP Anniversary Week, the fundraisers ACP has held as of late, and the messy (yet fun) Project Conquest II tournament.

In your opinion, what are the traits that define brilliance as a leader in the community?

I think a brilliant leader in the army community can be defined as someone who manages to gain the respect and command that a leader has beyond the simple rank. By this, I mean that a good leader is one who get treated like a leader, can properly run an army/staff team of an army by being able to gain the respect of their members. True leadership has never been as simple as being given the rank of leader, it is something that the leader needs to earn by gaining the respect of their colleagues.

Who do you owe the most appreciation for in your career and why?

The list is endless, I appreciate all the ACP HCOM members I have worked with, especially during the time I was ACP HCOM in 2021. The remainder of the team, who were later dubbed the “Golden Democratic” of ACP, are still close friends of mine to this day, and were a major reason I even reached where I am in armies. In fact, even to this day though many of that old team are retired, while others are present, I still appreciate them every day for the friendship and guidance they offer me. More specifically, I’d say I greatly appreciate Cubster, the ACP Legend that both recruited and mentored me. He was there, pushing me to excel, from the second I showed up in ACP until the day I led the army.

What do you cherish the most about being in this community?

The senseless arguments

In 5 or less words, how can you describe yourself?

Funny, I hope..

If you were to re-do your entire career once again, what would you change?

I think I would’ve chosen to stay as ACP leader just a little bit longer. Though most of the work I had planned to do was mostly, I wish I had stayed to guarantee a less rocky future for ACP. Thankfully, my predecessors (Calgocubs and Jesus1_4) were able to do what I could not.

Lastly, what piece of advice do you offer to those seeking to carve a name for themselves in this community?

Just don’t take it too seriously, and remember that everyone is in this community for a reason so it makes no sense to pointlessly shun them

Fatchicken has most certainly left a mark on the community, thanks to his work through various departments and ACP. Do you think he will be a contender for Legends status this year? Which army would you personally wanna see FatChicken in? Do you think he will become an Executive Producer soon?
