As we enter February, the exciting showdown is almost here. Club Penguin Armies Administration is proud to present the Candy Crusher brawl. In this post, you’ll find all the information you need to participate in this thrilling competition.
Brawl INFORMATION
Candy Crusher is a brawl inspired by Trick or Treat Trials, a unique tournament created by former Chief Executive Producer Mchappy in 2023. In that event, armies chose between two types of rooms: trick rooms, which featured various challenges, and treat rooms, which followed a standard battle format.
Building on this concept, the Administration has introduced an exciting twist. Unlike its predecessor, where one room adhered to normal battle rules while the other featured tricks, Candy Crusher will implement specific objectives in every room, challenging armies in new ways. An example of an objective, which has already been used in TOTT, could be like this:
Formations are not allowed in the room.
(This example will not be used for this brawl)
Major and Small-Medium armies will compete separately at different times on CPA Battleground, ensuring equal opportunities for both divisions to shine. The tournament will last 30 minutes, with each room featuring a different objective. Armies will earn points based on participation, victories, and challenge completions. Two rooms will run simultaneously for each division, with new battle rooms announced every 10 minutes. Judges will reveal the objectives as soon as each room opens, keeping armies alert throughout the competition. Ultimately, a champion will be crowned for both Major army and Small-Medium army, each receiving a trophy.
SCORING SYSTEM
Below is how the points system will work for this tournament:
- +3 Points for Success: Awarded to an army that fully completes the given objective within the specified room.
- +2 Points for Winning Battle Portion: If an army wins the battle portion, which follows the regular battle format and judging guidelines, they will receive 2 points.
- +1 Points for a Tie: If two armies perform equally well in fulfilling the objective, both will receive 2 points. Judges will determine ties based on equal effort, creativity, or effectiveness in completing the task.
- +1 Point for Participation: If an army enters the room and attempts the objective but does not succeed or perform at a competitive level, they receive 1 point for their participation and effort.
This means that even if you are not able to win the battle portion or even complete an objective, all is to play for as points can be earned via multiple means. Throughout the battle, the judges will be tallying how many points each army gains. This will ensure that armies are awarded with the correct amount of points for the objectives they complete.
Rules
- Upon entering a certain room, an army cannot back out or change rooms.
- If an army is found to be “scoping” out the rooms and arriving to rooms late on purpose, they will receive a penalty in their point total according to the Head Judges’ discretion.
- Reviews will only be permitted if an army reaches an overtime room, at which point they may request a review. These reviews will be conducted by Head Judges who are unaffiliated with the battle.
- Dual enlistment is not allowed, and individuals may only attend for one army. They must stick with that army for the duration of the tournament, even after an army is eliminated.
- An army cannot be invaded for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) if they are participating in a tournament battle that same weekend.
- The judging will be undertaken by Club Penguin Army Judges and organized by the Head Judges.
- For this mini-tournament, each participating army will be allowed one veto to ensure enough judges are available. Once an army has vetoed a judge, they cannot veto any additional judges for that battle. If there are no available judges after the vetoes have been issued, the Head Judges may select individuals including those that may have been vetoed, to assist with judging to ensure the tournament runs smoothly. Vetoes must be made before the four-hour mark, and the Head Judges cannot be vetoed unless they are affiliated.
- Judges will be announced well in advance.
- Each room will have three judges. If there are not enough judges, a Head Judge may count as two. In the event of an overtime room, five judges will be present.
- Armies will be allowed to create/wear their own festive uniforms for this tournament. All uniforms must be pre-approved by the Administration beforehand to avoid conflicts with other uniforms. Additionally, uniforms must not make the penguins appear larger, as this could provide an unfair advantage and misrepresent the true size of the army.
- Anybody banned from CPA Battleground cannot participate in tournament battles (including but not limited to attending on alts, leading from Discord or other third-party websites, etc.) If found guilty of violating this rule by administrator discretion, the army they are involved with will be disqualified.
