Undercover Troop: Can Somebody Help Me?

Welcome to the second edition of Undercover Troop, where we secretly learn how armies operate and how the staff responds to certain situations. In this edition, I went into several armies and acted as a “newbie” trying to figure out what Club Penguin Armies are!

Designed by BEASTO

In this edition, I went undercover as a new army member and acted interested in this whole CPA thing. First of all, I joined the servers and got used to the atmosphere. After a while, I asked for someone to explain what armies are about, and how they are organized. The results show that there are people who help in explaining. However, we do need to review each army and score them out of 10 to see which army helped the most in explaining CPA!

The following findings have been documented carefully to avoid bias. The analysis and scoring of each scenario are based on my (the author’s) personal experience.

Rebel Penguin Federation

I joined Rebel’s Discord server saying I saw someone Advertising it in Club Penguin Journey. Once I had gained access to the general chat, I greeted everyone and asked if anyone could help me figure out what the Rebel Penguin Federation was about. I was soon messaged by Stevos who was a staff member there. Take a look at what happened:

Stevos responded with a very nice tone and answered all questions! He helped in making the account and informing the user about CPA and RPF. This was a very good way to help a new member feel welcomed and informed about the army. However, it did take a few minutes for him to DM but an excellent guide nonetheless! Due to this, the Rebels achieved a score of 9.2/10.

Doritos of Club Penguin

Once more, I joined the server on the following account, according to the same method used for other armies. I acted clueless and asked for help in the main chat. I was soon Dmed by Megha a staff member at Doritos. Here is how the interaction went.

A good interaction overall and was going smoothly over the course of a few days. However, Megha did not fully explain CPA and other armies as I wanted. Megha did not confirm whether the account had been created as well. Due to these factors, I give DCP a 7.9/10.

Templars of Club Penguin

Our next target: Templars of Club Penguin. I joined the server and found the main chat dead, but one person Csani was there to welcome me to the server and soon helped me in DM’s. Look at what happened.

After that message, Csani sent me some pics of TCP doing formations and tactics. Csani did a very good job of informing the user (me) on how CPA works and how we take part in events. He acted very demure and mindful which made a nice impression. However, the time it took for him to welcome it affected their score. In my opinion, TCP receives a score of 9.6/10

Army of Club Penguin

With the Clovers being a very active army, they were expected to be one of the highest-scoring armies. I joined and was welcomed by tons of people in the main chat and everyone was very active. I was quickly DM’ed by Judy. Here is how it went down.

This was such a well-executed interaction and it contained a lot of information and shows that ACP is good at making sure new members are well-informed and feel welcomed. Judy did a remarkable job in helping the user (me). With a fast DM, this heavily influenced their score. Thus, the Clovers gain a score of 10/10.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, each army did just about good enough to have a respectable score. Every army helped and was understanding in their responses. Every army should learn from this and strive to improve their communication and activity. See you next time in another version of Undercover Troop. Do you think the scores are reasonable? Which army did you want to see get reviewed? What do you think will be the next Mission?
