Leadership coups are just another part of Club Penguin Armies; however, they are particularly interesting. Today, we look back at even more of the most famous coups.
Fall of Fitsuki
One of the most recent leadership coups in modern Club Penguin Armies was Fituski‘s removal as leader of Elite Guardians. An army dating back to 2017, with a rich history, was revived in 2023. 2024 was a very complex year for the EGCP, with highlights such as winning the Around The World Cup alongside a victory in their war against Templars. Alongside the positives, there were also a few negatives. Some of these include their gruelling 104-battle war against the Army of Club Penguin. However, things took a turn for the worse when Lass, EGCP leader announced a temporary retirement. Following this announcement, Fitsuki was left solo leading the Guardians. It continued like this until EGCP held their seventh-anniversary event on October 19.
In a shocking turn of events, on October 20, the Elite Guardians Consulate made a declaration. They claimed that Fitsuki had severely misused his power, and had been rather manipulative. Founders Edu14463, and Cookky2, alongside former leaders Cobra and Gutavuh, stated that Fitsuki had been relieved of his leadership duties. The consulate had carried out an internal investigation and discovered abuse of power, manipulation, both emotional and psychological, as well as severe mistreatment of troops, and actions risking the security of the army.
Following Fituski’s removal as leader, his supporters took control of the official EGCP website and released a post. This post accused the EGCP consulate members of several different things. However, although former army leaders had returned to continue on the current generation, following this revolt, on October 22, EGCP founders Edu14463 and Cookky2 announced that the army would cease operations and that any attempted revival without their explicit permission would be considered illegitimate.
Freezie66’s Dark Demise
In 2014, Dark Warriors leader Freezie66 was removed from his leadership position. This followed a reign that some considered tyrannical, as he couped several DW leaders, including Pufpuf103 and Crazy186. Dark Warriors creator Ambrosha returned on February 24 with one sole purpose: to release Freezie from his leadership position. In Ambrosha’s post, it is claimed this was a “mutual agreement.” however, Freezie posted a rebuttal. He claimed it was “far from over”, and that he would return. Not only was Freezie removed from his leadership role, he was also banished from the army, never to be allowed to return. However, this did not stop him. Notably, although banished from the army, this did not stop Freezie from returning to the Dark Warriors. In 2019, Freezie left Doritos, which he had been leading at the time, to revive DW.
Elmikey’s Coup from Dark Warriors
Elmikey‘s second feature in this series is his removal as leader of Dark Warriors. This led to a series of coups, due to Elmikey declaring war on Club Penguin Army Central, after losing a war against the Nachos. Over nine armies declared they would defend CPAC against DW, forming the “Klondike Wall”. Later that same day, Silverburg also announced his departure from the army, however, it was unrelated. Only hours following his removal, Elmikey was reinstated as leader. Unfortunately, he broke the terms of his reinstatement, by attempting to fire Toysoldier and Drake, DW’s Second-in-Command. Due to breaking these terms, he was removed from the army once again.
The conclusion to this saga of events again happened only mere hours following Elmikey’s second removal. Both Elmikey and Silverburg returned to their position of Leader. As a result, we see our second coup of this saga, with former DW leader, MrWaffle45 being removed from leadership and instead offered 2ic. It is known that Commando717 held some involvement in returning Elmikey to power, and was spotted several times in the Xat chatroom.
This concludes our reflection on leadership coups. But what do you think? What coups have we missed? Are these coups notable, or are they just standard? Will be seeing many more coups soon, or is CPA stable? Be sure to let us know your thoughts, and maybe we will see another installation of this series.
