The Christmas Chaos tournament is a longstanding tradition in Club Penguin Armies. It serves as a chance for armies to show off their strength every holiday season. The Grand Finals of this tournament are always a spectacle. Highlighting the pinnacle of what armies have to offer, they are not to be missed. The army that wishes to come out on top in this tournament has to face a multitude of challenges, but in the end, it is worth it to be named Christmas Chaos Victor.

Christmas Chaos XIV Grand Finals Recap

The final showdown of this year’s Christmas Chaos was between Doritos and the Rebel Penguin Federation. Predicting the winner proved difficult, as both armies were extremely competent. Although Doritos are newly revived, they have proven themselves by making it all the way to the Grand Finals in their first tournament back. One vital piece of information highlighted by the judges was the size difference. During the battle, maxes were 74 for RPF, in comparison to DCP’s 47. However, during the pre-rooms, the sizes were 82-78 RPF. There was at times a size difference of 30, which was a key factor in the decision of the victor. In the end, the Rebels came out victorious, with a score of 3-0-0 [W-T-L].

Grand Finals battle between Rebel Penguin Federation and Doritos

Following the victory of the Rebel Penguin Federation, Club Penguin Armies reached out to multiple community members to hear their thoughts on the battle.

Jo, Associate Editor: I was mostly surprised at the size difference. I did not expect RPF to have so much more than DCP. Having 70+ RPF on was also surprising since it’s quite a bit more than their previous battles. I thought it would be a 50 50 chance as to who will win but RPF did really good this time

54x, People’s Imperial Confederation: Despite my predictions regarding DCP vs RPF (having said DCP would 3-0-0 RPF), I can’t say I’m surprised with the outcome, but I am surprised with how the outcome happened. I felt RPF were strong going into this but I didn’t know they were 3-0-0 strong. I had mostly said DCP 3-0-0 because I wanted to shout out my og’s 32op and Rah from my old DCP days, but they must have not had a hand in that defeat, leaving it to the newer leaders. First off, your mom and fat joke tactics are tiring, so RPF had the more creative tactics for sure, not spam repeating the same three jokes to get a laugh out of their 10 year old troops. I was expecting this to be close though. DCP I felt could pull numbers and win a room or two, but they failed to get their troops in the main battle rooms for all three rounds. Not only that, but RPF’s trained troops showed that day. DCP has terribly untrained troops (which is likely why DCP has allowed the current leadership to run it the way they do with tier silly fat joke tactics being the primary strategy) and it is clear most of them are children unfamiliar with CPA battling. RPF just had a masterclass and I was expecting them to pull out a win but not on this scale. Congrats to RPF. The DCP will suffer with 32op gone. Respect to him and my other homies in DCP.

qAleksandr, Help Force: Great battle, RPF won due to size and neat forms. Also, nice job to DCP doing it into finals.

Raven116, Water Vikings: I am really happy that our brother allies managed to claim the victory. Sweeping the whole battle in such a tournament is an achievement not a lot of army could do. I hope RPF keeps up the incredible performance!

Cobra, Small Medium Army Legend: This tournament has been an amazing one and clearly was the main tournament of the year. The hype behind this one was real – ACP maxing the most they’ve had in ages, DCP returning and maxing 80+ back to back, Aliens beating Templars, and RPF maxing over 90 and defeating DCP made it a bombastic experience to view. I thought this outcome was going to be likely if RPF could pull size, as they’re tactically the best army and historically the greatest tournament army of all time. No flack towards DCP, but I knew if there was one way to get all of the RPF veterans to show up – it would be to defeat the Doritos. It’s been a good run and every army should be proud of themselves for their performances. Maybe we’re onto another hype filled year.

aucraia, The Bastille Vanguard: I really enjoyed watching them. Though DCP’s loss was a bit sad for me since I was cheering for them, I do believe RPF took the win fairly. Shows how insane battles can get, the amount of DCP lockouts was crazy.

Mare, Chief Executive Producer: I couldn’t watch much of the battle since I was busy with my family, but I am incredibly proud of both armies. They have achieved remarkable milestones and should be proud of their accomplishments. Needing lockout rooms hasn’t been a common occurrence in this era, yet it was necessary twice in a row during this tournamen highlighting the incredible effort and turnout.
The leaders and members of these armies should return to their communities with joy and gratitude for the dedication and hard work they’ve invested. Their efforts, combined with the support from both new and familiar faces, have brought them this far. Congratulations to RPF for winning CCXIV, and kudos to Doritos for earning a well-deserved spot in the Grand Finals!

Clearly, Christmas Chaos XIV has been one to remember. These Grand Finals summarise perfectly what this tournament has been about, shocking results. Nobody could have predicted the outcome, but that is not a bad thing. But what are your thoughts? Has Christmas Chaos XIV been enjoyable to watch? Perhaps you participated? What do you think of the Grand Finals? We at Club Penguin Armies would love to know what you think.

the main thing that surprised me was the lock-out in the finals, i didn’t expect that to be the difference (yes, it was what made the difference, i was watching the battles)
